Should schools be allowed to distribute birth control without informing and getting permission from parents?
Don't know -- Teen pregnancy is a problem, but is this a school issue?
Yes -- Kids need to know they can access birth control without fear.
No -- This is a parent's responsibility, not a 'nanny state's.'

It’s NYC where kids are encouraged to have sex with a “sex positive” curriculum. Starting at 11. No opt outs.

I’m assuming that there is a sex age law up in NY city.
Now if the school is helping kids to have sex or even know they are then is it not the schools resonsibility to report the breaking of a law and if not then are they not an accomplace?
Also it seems the kooks have been on the poll

Well...I could probably be OK with it so long as the govt also let them buy booze and cigarettes at the same age, if the govt was willing to draft them, let them vote, and leave home to make their own way at that age, if they had to file income taxes at that age, and if I wasn't being "allowed" to carry them on my insurance 'till they were fifteen or so years older.
Then, maybe.

I voted and saw 57% saying yes. An exhibit as to how this country is swirling down the toilet.

So, who will be responsible if Plan B backfires and the girl dies? Will the school fess up that they handed the girl the medication that killed her? And who will be responsible for the medical care if she gets physically messed up but still lived through it?
Chances are the parents will get the blame and the bill, but will have no recourse to sue anyone for the death and/or bodily harm of their daughter.

It is unbelievable how far America has fallen.
When I was in high school, I barely knew what a condom was, and the only way they were sold was from under the counter of the pharmacy, and maybe some vending machines in sleazy gas station bathrooms.
I guess kid sex is now as common as kissing at a drive-in movie back in the 60s.
OK, I know that I a member of the old fart crowd.

UNBELIEVABLE. You can't send your kid to school with freakin' cough drops --- even the UNMEDICATED kind! -- without violating zero tolerance. But hey, hand our daughters chemical agents that mess with their hormones -- not a problem!

A 14 year old girl in NYC can get the morning after pill to poison any fertilized eggs in her body, but she can’t legally buy a 20-ounce soda to wash the pill down.

I thought schools couldn’t even hand out aspirins anymore, and now they’re handing out morning after pills to high school students without parental permission? Un-freaking-believable.
