Guy on the phone said this damage is equal to or greater than Katrina.
Stationary system, New Orleans getting clobbered. Rescues underway for people who "didn't have the time to get out".

Just read report that a levee south east of New Orleans was topped by the water and deep flooding in area. Had a look around at homes and topagraphy using Google maps and have to ask myself why someone would live below sea level with water on all sides.

Now the liberals don’t have the excuse of “Well, nobody could have evacuated a modern American city” because right next door is Texas. Texas successfully pulled off *the largest evacuation in human history* ahead of Hurricane Ike in 2008 and got everyone out who wanted to go. Over five million persons evacuated in seventy two hours. Everyone said it could never be done, and Texas did it - thus forever proving the “you can’t evacuate a city” myth false.
What’s their excuse this time?

Crescent Citys am radio station WWL am 870 has been taking calls as they did during Katrina and once again most of those call are from folks living in areas who were told to evacuate but didn’t.
