Any Dallas area FReepers want to FReep Cinemark Sunday afternoon? Their policy makes their theaters unsafe.
How about 1PM Sunday at their HQ?
Corporate Office: Cinemark USA, Inc. 3900 Dallas Parkway, Suite 500 Plano, TX 75093-7865
Anyone up for this?
btt
I blame the gunman. You can blame the theater chain but that’s just goofy.
It’s no more goofy than if they chained the fire exits closed and someone set fire to the theater. They created a safe killing zone in their theater.
They asked for demanded it, they got it.
That’s the stupidest thing I’ve read in my life.
Get a grip.
Not at all it was like advertising that it was safe to prey on their customers.
yep
Gun Free Zone = Open season for thugs and terrorists
said more diplomatically than i would have but the sentiments are the same
only a fool expects the government OR a corporation to remove every risk in life - du will probably get you more like minded volunteers
That little “no weapons permitted sign” sure kept everybody safe. /sarc
Instead of giving the theater chain grief, how about demanding a more permissive, universal conceal carry law?
I can’t help but think that, had there been someone else in the theater with a weapon, some lives could have been saved.
Why did he bother with the body armour? It’s not like he was going to be shot at.
This his only miscalculation, sadly.
It is unrealistic to remove every risk. It is expected that companies not put patron at added risk.
They have a carry law. The company decided to make their property a gun free zone.
“only a fool expects the government OR a corporation to remove every risk in life - du will probably get you more like minded volunteers”
No one is asking them to. Only to allow law abiding citizens to be able to protect themselves from idiots like the gunman in Aurora.
only in your mind
maybe we'll get the tsa to grope - that should make your life safe
the op does not want that - wants airbags in every theater seat
Do we know if the person who let the shooter back in the exit door before the shooting is still alive? If it were me, I’m not sure I could live with it. As for anyone else preventing it all, we’ll have to wait until they investigate how he purchased guns and bullets, and what the permissable capabilities of those weapons were in the eyes of the law. To be sure there will be a lot of 20/20 hindsight analysis to come. In the end laws are volunteerily followed (or not) and justice is imperfect at best when it comes to cleaning up the mess. I am very dissapointed at Obama’s failures to bring justice to the 1000s of innocent americans shot by others on his watch.
Good idea. Let’s protest someone who’s running a legal business their own way.
>>Do we know if the person who let the shooter back in the exit door before the shooting is still alive?<<
Early reports (very early) are he bought a ticket and let himself out the door and blocked it to get back in.
