Some of these buildings are pretty cool, but way overpriced.

Ha! Great post- I wouldn’t say amusement is the word I conjured in my head; more like practicality.
Zombies? Pshaw! Those look to me more like defensive strongholds for when the Progressives start marching on us.
To: Old Sarge
I look for a zombie attack one day soon. But it’s not the kind of zombies in THE WALKING DEAD. Well, some of them are.

I watched the first show of Walking Dead last night. I’m not a big fan of zombie flicks but I like the show.

I figure the best bet would be a house built on top of a mountain covered by black basalt boulders in the desert southwest. Fast zombies or slow, by the time they got halfway up they would be both dehydrated and cooked.
Meat cooked to 150F, muscle fibrils contract heavily causing moisture level to drop precipitously. Fat has fully rendered.
Since zombies would have to walk across the desert, they would already be seriously dried. Much of the year, the temperature above the black basalt would be 170F or more.
It has even been suggested that sites containing high grade nuclear waste be covered with black basalt boulders to keep out the curious.

#2 was my choice. Everyone needs a lair.

IKf the radar dish has a transmitter power rating to match the size of that antenna, just rotate down to focus on your object of dislike, power up the transmitter, and - Instant ‘Nuked’ Intruder.

I'd rather have a #1 but castles are really, really hard to find.

What kind of hoops does the ATF make you jump thru to permit a 10 megaton thermo-newcular device?
I realize Arizona probly pays you to keep it around the house, and Barry has all but kicked you guys outta the country, but I still bet it makes him kinda nervous.

You just need a CCM* permit and you can drive around with one. We have constitutional carry here.

Number #2 and #4 work for me. We’ll have to defend resources from the “zombies” otherwise known as the welfare scammers.

got my lair, any suggestions about acquiring reliable minions?
To: Old Sarge
Thanks for the post. Just ran across it. Those are some incredible homes, castles, fortresses, etc.
Talk about some serious preppers with serious bucks! Good for a few laughs anyway.
I’ll just stick with my “NO ZOMBIES ALLOWED” signs.

I was just thinking. Is there such a thing as zombie preppers? And if so, do they can brains, so they have a steady supply WTSHTF?

There's a whole marketing line for "Zombie" gear.
Hornady puts out "Zombie Rounds", which are .38 hollow-points with a green plastic cap over the tip. Word I get is, when you fire a few of these, the green plastic fouls the weapon...
Mossberg has the Mossberg-500 ZMB shotgun, which also fires "Zombie-Mag" shells in 12-gauge.
Here's a link for related "Zombie Gear"...
