Did aliens create the human race? If so, does that negate the existence of God? Or, did God create the aliens? Despite the advancement of science and technology, Marshall-Green believes that humans will always have faith -- even if its one day proven that aliens were our creators, not God.
I absolutely think that religion will always be a part of humanity, because it was one of the first inventions of man, he said.

Yes. It's generally assumed he meant Gentiles, but there's nothing to say that he couldn't have meant aliens.
“There really isn’t a question as to whether there’s life elsewhere in the universe. The only question is, where else it’s located. The numbers say that it’s everywhere. “
Exactly. I wouldn’t be surprised if we found microorganisms in our own solar system.
I believe that there are other intelligent species out there. My belief is based on a metaphysical fact of nature: that there is never just one of any kind of thing in the universe. For Humans to be the only intelligent life in the universe would be like there only being one raindrop or one plant or one grain of sand on Earth. Actually it would be many orders of magnitude more incredible. Make that only one grain of sand in the whole universe. I believe it based on my views of reality and not on faith. I believe we are only a couple of years away from answering the question of life on other planets. Whether or not we will ever find intelligent life is another question just because of the distances involved. But we are getting to the point where spectroscopy of the light shining through the atmosphere of an exoplanet will tell us of the presence of life in the near future.
... If there is such a thing as intelligent alien lifeforms out there .... I have always wondered ...... Did the God who created all things .... create them ......
On what do you base your conjecture?
To say that humanity invented religion is not the same as to say that humanity invented God.
It's now become the mainstream scientific view that the odds of our finding at least microbial life elsewhere in our solar system are near 100%.
Many planetary environments in our solar system are more conducive to elementary life forms, than environments where 'extremophiles' have already been discovered on earth.
Religion “invented”? Not hardly! It was revealed to the rational animal by everything around him since there is no way that everything sprang up from nothing. A Supernatural Being is the only rational explanation for us and the universe.
I am going to see this movie, because I liked the first 2 Alien movies and heard this was a prequel. Nothing more nothing less.
Charlize is great in “Snow white and the Huntsman”.
He stretched out space to create time, and filled it with matter. Without him our universe is non-existent. The very fabric of all our dimensions is like silly putty in his hands.
Just because we can't see it, touch it etc... doesn't mean is doesn't exist. Just because we can't comprehend it doesn't negate it's existence either.
It's like a mix of several movie influences, Alien being the big one. Hellraiser, Evil Dead, and MM Thunderdome. One of the aliens looks like it came straight from Galaxy Quest.
What amazes me is how hollywood liberals have clunged so dearly this type of scenario and go out of their way to foment the idea that God would somehow cease to exist and the whole world would riot if alien life was discovered. It is like some sort of brainwashing scheme they have. If you repeat the lie long enough people will come to believe.
There is evidence all over. The summerians the bible talks about the Nephelin. Read the Epic of Creation by the summerians. Pretty interesting stuff. All the bible was taken from the ancient Summerian Text. Reinterpreted to the language that the hebrews could read. So things were written differently. Open your mind. And the truth will set you free. PS I am a Christian who believes in Christ the Savior, but I think the Old Testament was misinterpreted or changed by the churches over the centuries to fit their narrarative
I probably read all of the Zacaria Sitchin books. When I was young, I swallowed this story, hook, line, and sinker
Im not sure where, or when, the Good Lord got my head squared away, but I came to realize that the real truth was Gods Word (New and Old Testaments). It isnt the Old Testament that got misinterpreted, or changed, or corrupted over the years. The Bible contains the truth about the beginnings, and it is the stories of Gilgamesh and Upnapishtim and other worldwide myths that are a corruption of what really happened. There are over 100 global Flood stories scattered throughout the world (Australia, Hawaii, South America, Africa, India, China, North America, Europe, etc), they are similar in many respects, but the Bible is the only one that describes a sea-worthy ship capable of carrying Gods menagerie of animals and people to be saved. The Babylonian/Summerian ark of Upnapishtim was a very unseaworthy cube
Others talk about people and animals hanging onto a log, and so on
I dont doubt that many of the myths of the world contain some amount of truth as we all share common ancestors (at least from Mt. Ararat) but without Gods preserving hand (using the Hebrews as the custodians of the Oracles of God) they were all corrupted. Turning earlier patriarchs into gods, and distorting, conflating, and merging events. George Faber (early 1800s) made a good attempt at presenting how these different myths developed from a common origin.
If you disregard the Old Testament, you pretty much disregard the New Testament. Christ constantly quoted from the Old Testament. Paul also stated that ALL scripture is inspired by God (God breathed). By scripture he was talking about the Old Testament. Paul also commends the Thessalonians for receiving the Words he preached as the Word of God and not of men. Peter reminds us the prophecies (Scripture) were not by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. That is, the Bible is the Word of God. Man may try to corrupt and change it but God will not allow it. God is not sitting on His hands a billion years away. He is active. By Him the world consists, and He holds all things together. His Will will be done. His Word is indestructible.
Are there aliens (of the extraterrestrial variety, not illegal)? In a way, probably yes
But not the kind you are probably considering.
We dont know everything, but God gave us His Word. His ONLY Begotten Son was born in the flesh, as a man to save a fallen mankind who were made in the image of God. Other beings from other planets are not in the equation
But there are extraterrestrial beings. These are the angels and fallen angels.
Who were the Nephilims? The offspring of the sons of God and the daughters of men? It is hard to say who exactly these Nephilims were, as the pre-flood history is sparse. My bet is they were the off-spring of demonic possession (as Satan and his fallen angels were doing what they could to destroy mankind), and eventually God had to cleanse the world via a flood. But my bets arent the word of God stick with the Bible and trust it that it is indeed the Word of God.
Now, when you say "the human race," exactly whom are you referring to?
bfl
It’s a script somebody made up to make money. It’s science fiction. Nobody should read anything else into it, including the director and cast. I will watch it from an entertainment frame of mind, nothing more.
If he did he was referring to the gentiles.
