Reading Our Daily Bread each morning starts me off with my mind set on Jesus and carries me through the day.
Thank You so much for your continuing ministry, Rus. I'm sure many, as yorkie stated, start their day with ODB.
Again, Thank You.
In talking to young people about preparing for the future, I’ve had several say something like this: “We must get into the world to experience ungodly situations and ungodly people in order to grow stronger.”
This kind of thinking has swallowed up many immature Christians and eventually turned them against God. Sure, we’re in the world (John 17:15) and we’re exposed to non-Christian situations (school, job, neighborhood), but we need to be careful that exposure to those situations does not lead to embracing ungodly philosophies. All of us would mature faster by following the divine pattern suggested in Psalm 1:1.
First, let’s not let our decisions and choices be controlled by the “counsel of the ungodly.” Second, we shouldn’t put ourselves in a place where those who don’t know Jesus can unduly influence our thought processes. Third, let’s avoid getting comfortable with those who mock God, His Word, and His role in our life so that their thinking seems right to us.
Counsel from such sources leads us away from God. Instead, it’s best to get our training, our guidance, and our advice from God’s holy Word and those who know it and love it. God and His Word, not experiences, are our best teacher.

TV shows of every sort, weaves ungodly actions, deeds, intentions into every form of entertainment, movies, books, various religions, talented and gifted speakers, and the very school books, college professors teach ungodly, atheism, agnosticism, etc. WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE. Christians argue over their core beliefs, which makes for all the dozens of teachings. MO
We are to teach our children in the way they are to go, and most do not know enough to do it. Or even that God instructed them to do so. How to prevent the ungodly from entering into all of our lives? ...It requires stringent dedication, and discernment. We have become acted upon rather than being the actors our self. The shame is we mostly are unaware it is happening to us.
The difference between liberals and conservatives, and independents, etc., has and does occur based on the lies told by the medias, our parents, daily radio programs etc., We truly are brain washed and do not realize it. It makes no sense really. The masses are too involved in the basics to take time to learn the truth. MO
Pray, read the scriptures ... and actually do what it says to do.
I heard a young woman/college student say rather flippantly ... " Jesus died for our sins ... so we might as well do some"
Alas ... this is a somewhat basic attitude of many. God forgive us, Thou art our protector, we look to thee for our well being and understanding of the Scriptures, Have mercy LORD, We need thy help, thank Thee for the many blessings we receive daily, in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen.

Man is continually believing ... it is ‘I, Me, Myself, going, doing, believing, my power, my decision, my preference, it is our constant bane. We fail to turn our life over the God. That is the first sin of Cain. Then when his gift was not received of God he became angry and afterward killed his brother. Which is the major sin that caused his cursing. All because he had offered an unacceptable gift to God.
Genesis 4:1-16.
and we continue to do this on going.
Forgive us LORD we know not what we do, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
