I started going to baseball games more than 60 years ago. I've never gotten a game ball. D*mned if I'd give one up to some crying snot who just happened to be sitting near me.

Kay wasn’t the only one...Richard Durrett at ESPN/Dallas tore the couple a new one, as well. They are under no obligation to give a screaming kid a ball...he didn’t lean over in front of the kid to catch the ball.

This is what actually happened according to the parents of the child .... The couple that got the ball didn’t at first realize the little one was crying because of the ball. When they realized the crying was because of the ball (a minute or two later) they offered the ball to the parents. The parents declined, preferring to teach the child that sometimes you can’t have everything you want.

Maybe the couple that got the ball are jerks, who cares. The kid who didn’t get the ball doesn’t “deserve” it just cuz he’s a kid.
Regardless we don’t know the whole story.

Really? We had eight 3 year olds. If they thought of being whiny or selfish, they were given two immediate options.
