Really? We had eight 3 year olds. If they thought of being whiny or selfish, they were given two immediate options.
They quickly learned to choose option 1.
Even 3 year olds can learn self-control.
My third child was born when #2 was 10 years old. He was by far the easiest to raise because whenever he had a tantrum I would look at him and say “Been there, done that. It doesn’t work anymore.”
