Sex Strike -- Women United For Reproductive Rights

Folks, come and look at this. It's a site which says -- I am not kidding! --

IF OUR REPRODUCTIVE CHOICES ARE DENIED

SO ARE YOURS

APRIL 28 – MAY 5, 2012

Now this is hilarious: it evinces the kind of stupidity and fatuous narcissism which it normally takes an Ivy League degree to acquire.

How is this FAIL? Let me count the ways:

1) I guess nobody bothered to explain to you about the Birds and the Bees and the DDT, ladies, but by engaging in abstinence, you are achieving precisely the same ends as contraception. For that matter, this would make an excellent time to compare the efficacy of contraception to abstinence, with a nod to our Catholic friends.

2) Remember when Nina Burleigh said that she'd be happy to give Bill Clinton oral sex as thanks for keeping abortion legal? That option is still open, some guys may ask for it by name.

3) Clymenestra called. She says you're doing it wrong. Remember, don't wriggle.

Wait a minute...no chance that these libs will reproduce for eight days?

I can support this.

Lets see if we can get them to stretch it to a month!

Given the looks of most far left women this threat is a carrot not a stick.

LYSYSTRATA REDUX by Aristophanes?

My attitude would have been: "Fine. Bye. BTW, I'm taking my income and assets with me, and finding somebody more agreeable".

Why can’t men sign away their rights to the ‘cells’ if they want to abort the child? If you decide to have the baby against his reproductive rights, why do you get to force him to pay for your choice?

It used to be the case that men in most states were not compelled to support their illegitimate children. they could thus signal their unwillingness to have children by not marrying.

This changed in the early 1970's with Supreme Court cases like GOMEZ v. PEREZ (1973) which struck down child-support laws that distinguished between legitimate and illegitimate children.

This was the real beginning of our "single mother" crisis.

Good. Maybe they can finally stop the rampage of STD s. That would save the taxpayers money for their medical and the cost of some paper bags the guys have to wear for the courage to “hit that”.

A. You keep misspelling “Clytemnestra.”

B. Agamemnon asked for it.

Looks like to me that they should change the “ladies who lunch” name to “Welcome to the pleasure-dome”. I would appear that’s the angle before and after the strike. Them “opening” back up for business after the strike sounds a bit crude but that’s what it looks like. Useless idiots.

Sex Strike -- Women United For Reproductive Rights

And I think a lot of those women were already united and never had anything to worry about in the department of reproduction.

“liberals refusing to have sex?”

If they don’t want to reproduce, why does it seem like there are so many of them? Cloning? Or is it just that they’re so garrulous that it seems like there are more of them than there actually are?

they are loud.
And they flock to occupations that amplifies their annoying voices...journalism, academia,...

We’re too busy having sex and going to work to run around squawking all the time! ;)

A. You keep misspelling “Clytemnestra.”

I wish I could say it was just a grey moment, but really it's more like selective dyslexia.

I read it that way as a child and remembered it that way: and even when I Googled her name to double check on what her husband's name was, while working on this piece, I stored the name in my mind without the "t".

Kind of like the time in college I misread a traffic sign as "Hideous Entrance."

Thanks for the gentle reminder.

B. Agamemnon asked for it.

For her having a counter-affair, or for his death...?

(Think of Bill Clinton, or for that matter Newt Gingrich.)

Cheers!

BTW, doesn't this campaign actually represent a confirmation of what conservatives have always claimed -- that, far from "they're going to do it anyway," that if one takes away the contraception, that people will revert to abstinence?

Cheers!

Led by lesbians, radical femi-nazis are still trying to get normal women to reject heterosexual men and sex. Now they are calling it a “protest”, LOL!

This reminds me of joke my father used to say..

“I gave up sex for lent, and your mother didn’t even notice until Easter Sunday!!”

HA!! Somehow I think a large number of these “types” might not be so amorous to begin with?

For her having a counter-affair, or for his death...?

I think her relationship with his cousin was simply an assertion of power, but the murder was payback for Agamemnon's sacrificing their daughter, at least according to some versions of the story. In the play, he simply walks in with his concubine in tow and finds it unremarkable, expected, that his wife would meet him with open arms. Talk about overconfidence ...

Aye, you're right of course; I wasn't considering the sacrifice simply 'cuz the thread was about sluts.

Cheers!
