Mountain Dew will do more than just quench your thirst, according to an expert.
After a man claimed to have found a mouse inside of a Mountain Dew can, Pepsi cited an expert who testified that if a mouse got into a can that it would have been dissolved in the sodas acid.

My dentist (who happens to be my father), told me that I have the enamel of an 80 year old. That’s what 2-4 liters per day of diet soda does. Soda Mouth strikes again.
“That mouse tortured me for weeks. That !@#$%^& mouse stole my tooth”.
Tom... is that you? If so, leave Jerry ALONE! LOL!
It won’t. Carbonic acid is far too weak to dissolve a mouse. Try it. Get a bottle and drop a piece of corn in it and then reseal it. It won’t dissolve.
They are lying. mt dew is not going to dissolve hair teeth and bone.
Mousin Goo?
It's the But still, I have a problem with the thought.
Besides that I WILL NOT spend what now $6 for a box of popcorn. I'm not cheap, but that is ridiculous to pay that much or more. Eat at home.
Those prices is a ridiculous as paying $10 for a Mexican dinner. What BEANS, RICE, how much is that to make? We go on halp price day.
Yeah, well maybe I am cheap, I'd rather call it frugal.
There are federal food standards for rodent hair parts per million.
Then I guess you don't want to hear my stories from when I worked in a supermarket meat-market!!!
All I can say is - avoid the stuffed pork chops!
hahahahahaha
ROFL. He likes his BLING. Must be a packrat.
I hate mice, I have not problem KILLING them. Me Casa is not their Casa.
a chicken is not a mouse. Their bones are thicker, larger and less pliable.
Question:
Once a container is opened, wouldn't oxygen diminish the power of the mouse dissolving acid?
“Never ate popcorn in the theaters again, NEVER”
OMG, I once found 2 roaches in my movie popcorn. I returned the popcorn to the concession stand (after I barfed) and they actually scooped me another container. I said “no thank you, please just give me my money back” ugh.
Hmmmm....what was the reagent in Soylent Green?
Do they charge more for the cans with a mouse in them? I’d be willing to pay an extra buck or two, but not over that.
I don’t think I’ve bought anything from a theatre concession stand in 40 years.
Also cheap, I guess.
Don’t have a problem with paying for good Mexican food, but then the best place around here has a truly excellent GIANT burrito for $4.50.
It ain’t by any means a fancy decor place, but the food is great!
That is just to gross to have been a Candid Camera thing, but on the other hand. You should have asked them that.
I would have been laughing my head off at their attempt, right after I barfed on the counter. Will you ever buy popcorn in a theater again? Not me.
The unused/unsold stuff sits in bins all night after the theaters are closed, mostly open bins. My experience was over 60 yrs ago, but I can still see that 2inch COCKROACH swimming around in that Coconut Oil,remember it CLEARLY.
Hope all enjoy their $6/8 or $10 bag of popcorn, they come with extra crunch.
We go on Wed. nights for out mex.dinner at $4.99 for the enchillida dinner. Then we would have to bring half of that home, could not eat it all.
So, now we split a dinner. That is cheap eating out.
It is just that we can't hold much anymore, think its an age thing.
If so, the Pepsi people are pretty stupid. All they really have to do is show the whole canning process. There is no way a mouse can get in. Don't get an expert to testify that if people use their product it will dissolve them. These cases almost always turn out to be frauds.
Where I used to work, there was an employee cafeteria. They had a roach problem. On two occasions I bought donuts for snacks and found roaches wrapped up in the plastic wrap. I complained to the manager and he asked me if the roaches were separate, or embedded in the donuts. Apparently their supplier also had a roach problem. He said there was nothing they could do about the problem unless the owner paid for a renovation.
I stopped eating there.
