“Never ate popcorn in the theaters again, NEVER”
OMG, I once found 2 roaches in my movie popcorn. I returned the popcorn to the concession stand (after I barfed) and they actually scooped me another container. I said “no thank you, please just give me my money back” ugh.

THEY SCOOPED YOU OUT ANOTHER BOX. no joke!!!!
That is just to gross to have been a Candid Camera thing, but on the other hand. You should have asked them that.
I would have been laughing my head off at their attempt, right after I barfed on the counter. Will you ever buy popcorn in a theater again? Not me.
The unused/unsold stuff sits in bins all night after the theaters are closed, mostly open bins. My experience was over 60 yrs ago, but I can still see that 2inch COCKROACH swimming around in that Coconut Oil,remember it CLEARLY.
Hope all enjoy their $6/8 or $10 bag of popcorn, they come with extra crunch.

The USDA accepts the presence of insect parts including heads, thoraxes, legs, antenna, etc. in food. Those parts add up and studies have shown that the average American consumes between one to two pounds of insects in his/her food unknowingly every year. It's not feasible to remove every bit of insect material (or mouse and rat hair and feces) from vegetables, grains, meat, etc. We unknowingly eat all kinds of things that we'd never deliberately eat every day, and insects are apparently relatively healthy food.
That said, I don't want to know I'm eating insects. I remember my mom washing some broccoli from the supermarket when I was a kid - a fat green caterpillar the exact shade of the broccoli was crawling on it and it was gross enough to turn me off broccoli permanently. Still can't touch the stuff.
