Just a couple more hours left?
I bet Omoslem’s “white mosque” has 1,000-Watt bulbs in every socket.
No problem. The illegals will be smuggling them in from Mexico. They’ll be everywhere on the black market.
2012 - the year of the dimbulb?
Another smashing success by the republican’ts.
Haven’t been able to find any here for over 3 months.
I know...the issue is the government cut them out. Well, they didn't. They just upped the standard....like emissions etc etc
You need to get rid of the insane environmentalists.
Remember, the asbestos was on our furnace pipes as an ENVIRONMENTAL insulation do goody, too.
THE ENVIRO NAZIS HAVE TO GO. THEY'RE JUST PLAIN NUTS!!
If the Republicans can’t even stop this nonsense, how do we expect them to eliminate Obamacare?
Already purchased several cases. I don’t have any fixtures that use them, but I gambled that they may be sellable for a nice profit on eBay someday.
Bush Legacy.
By the way, did they ever address putting curly bulbs inside ovens and refrigerators?
I don't think that will work out too well.
If some small businessman grocery guy busts a curly bulb inside his meat locker, does he have to throw away thousands of dollars worth of meat, due to the mercury contamination? Or, does he try to hide it, and risk that some employee will rat him out?
It's such nonsense.
I’ve got 4 dozen 100 watt bulbs coming from Amazon. I’m set for a few years. You can probably still get some there before midnight.
To heck with it. I'm just moving in with you.
PS: I like ketchup. STOCK UP NOW.
I live in central NY State and live in a 2-bedroom apartment. Over the summer the complex office sent a man over to check my air conditioning system. When I asked him about the accuracy of the Honeywell thermostat I had, he said that it was a mercury thermostat, and they were one of the more accurate thermostats. Unfortunately though, they have been outlawed, I’m assuming in the state, and you can’t get them anymore. I told him I thought it was rather strange that the government was shoving mercury-based lightbulbs down our throats, but we weren’t able to own mercury thermostats.
Actually there was a bill signed on December 16 that has supposedly delayed the ban until Oct 2012. I am all stocked up and then I hear this.
Buy the replacement 72 watt halogen incandescent which has the same lumen output and 5000 hrs avg. life.
The Government banned Thomas Edison’s invention because it was old. By the same logic they should ban passenger trains, they are money losing, generate carbon, and nobody even wants to take them but for government’s war on parking.
Stalin would be proud.
Happy New Year
Thought they overturned the ban for at least a year? That was the news prior to Xmas Day.
