Herman Cain Wasn't the Savior of the Republic (Vanity)
Self | 12/3/12 | Self

Posted on 12/03/2011 12:22:28 PM PST by Lou Budvis

Although I understand why Cain supporters feel let down and disappointed, I don't understand those who are thowing up their hands, conceding the election to 0bama, and declaring the end of the Republic.

Where was there any evidence that Cain had capabilty and experience to lead the Nation?

Did he have years of fighting the good fight with the scars to prove it? No. Compare the battles Sarah Palin fought even before 2008.

Since he is a radio commentator, was he a leading voice of conservative thought? No. If you want a radio host with a thorough understanding of the Constitution and gov't, Mark Levin would be a better choice.

He didn't have a distinguished military career like Col. West. Working on weapons gives you no geo-poltical experience as to when to use them. Oppenheimer may have been the father of the A-bomb, but he was never qualified to decide when to use it.

Finally, if his business experience was in manufacturing or finance, he would have a better understanding of what it will take to bring America back. But,the US doesn't need anymore fast food joints.

He added to the debate for sure, but he wasn't the end all be all.

We should be focusing on electing quality presidents, senators, representatives, governor

Why? The message here is unless you are a member in good standing of the corrupt Political clown posse the Media Machine will destroy you. Face it, it is over.

The Republic is finished when the only choice the voters are ever going to be allowed to vote for is corrupt clown A or incompetent corrupt bozo B.

He set you up da tarbaby!

Quite a few posters (mostly bloggers) post an article and never respond.

Usually it's because they can't discuss things on an intelligent level.

Like da tarbaby, they are mute and just want so see the responses they get.

It's either that or stare out the basement window...

You are welcome. Of all the options left...none of them are the leader we need for the times that are headed out way.

So, we must focus on Congress. We must focus on ousting the RINO’s from those ranks. We must focus on it like we’re giving pink slips to them all over again!

A House led by Boehner again? Please ....that won’t do it.

We’ll be OK if we can take congress conservative. What made 0bama so bad in the first two years ...was the progressive majority. We called it the democrat majority, but it was not that at all.

And Conservatives wonder why the Republic is on he verge of ruin?

Screw principles, screw solutions, screw leadership, give us style and verbal gymnastics. The US political system has now descended into a sad childish Political Idol competition.

And the moron squad around here then wonder why they get no change out of DC EVER.

Newt got speaker Jim Wright booted out of congress over bogus book deals and what’s the first things Newt does as speaker? A bogus book deal. Newt impeached Clinton over Monica while he was having an affair with his intern. Newt is the only speaker to be punished for ethic violations. Hello Katie the Rats are going to rip Newt limb from limb. There is just going to be a red damp spot on the ground when the Rats get thru with Newt.

I am a Floridian, and Jeb Bush was a mostly great Governor, and should have been President instead of George W, just for intellect and thinking on your feet alone. That being said, I would never support him for President or VP now just because he was a great Governor a long time ago. He is too partisan for Illegals, and too much like his nasty Mama anymore. I really think his wife Columba is great, but I am done with him.

Perry is not a strong Governor(Texas wants it that way obviously ) and still mucked up by being ham handed.

If you were from Arkansas would you have pushed and voted in Slick Willy?

So, I get deleted and he doesn’t? I call BS. I have been involved in quite a lot of vanity’s and the poster always responds....just as I do in mine (yes, I do vanity’s, the horror!!).

But something like this, where you rub salt into one’s wound to promote your own candidate (a sucky one), then run away is unbecoming.

That was no set up. He is staring out of his basement window. =)

I noticed you stopped with Reagan, the first man I mentioned. I wonder why.

As for Bush, no denying it, the man loved his country.

Reagan was the last pro-American president the USA had.

Both the Bushes were pro-elitist, and anti-American-citizen. They only "love" the Country Club part of America. Neither Bush was conservative by any stretch of the imagination. They were only slightly less communist that their Democrat opponents.

In GWB's first inauguration, he refused to pledge to uphold and defend the "Constitution of the United States", instead opting for the insulting wording "uphold the laws". In 2005, he didn't repeat the insult, and every video of the 2001 inaugural oath/insult had already been scrubbed from the interwebs.

We didn’t get to this point in the republic in the last 3 years. It took the progressive decades to accomplish this and we were not going to turn things around in 2 election cycles.

This is the very thing I feared about conservatives. For all their qualities it seems we have a very short attention span when things don’t go our way fast enough. It is an odd irony.

Undoing the decades is going to take a decade or more. We have at least two generations that don’t even understand the Constitution or what our country’s REAL history is!

Saving the republic is a job bigger than just electing the righ President or congressional critter for that matter. We have to take our culture back too. Until we grab hold of that idea nothing will change and every election will put FREEDOM at risk.

Think about that... every election will put FREEDOM at risk... from here on out if we don’t start making headway with the culture, schools, media, alternative media.

Lesson 1. No proof or evidence is any longer required. All that matters is that the accusations have have been made

Now that the political establishment media scumbags on both sides have decide “Accusation equals proof” these same tactics of political lynching will be used against EVERY GOP candidate for Senate and House in 2012.

So enjoy the Pyrrhic victory today GOPbots. These same sleazy tactics you were so quick to embrace and pimp will now be used against your candidates.

barry did get us the House. Perhaps this time he can get us Congress.

What was that I believe Rand defeated the other day, about detaining Americans with no due process for an unlimited amount of time?

I think it was 49 (commies) to 51 that defeated that amendment.

49 commies is WAAAAAY too many. Too bad people didn’t take McCarthy seriously back when. He was right. The commies were infiltrating......and now, here they are.

My own personal wish is that the mods ban all posters that post articles/blogs/vanities etc and never respond.

It they don't want to take part in the process, why are they here?

I have seen many posters that post from their own blogs, dozens of threads, and NEVER respond.

What a waste.

I hope his basement doesn't flood unless the door is locked.

Heh...

(I guess your deleted post was just too graphic, even with the $$,s)

Congressional Record—Appendix, pp. A34-A35
January 10, 1963

Current Communist Goals

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

[From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen]

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture—education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [”]united force[”] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

Our family is happy living in Texas after a lifetime of being military. We’re not always thrilled with our politicians but considering the states we’ve lived in, this is the best. I feel comfortable voting for Republicans so it’s unlikely I would have ever voted for Clinton. I know Florida very well and understand what you’re saying. I know Georgia very well also and was never impressed with Cain. I’m only hoping we all get behind whoever it may be. I’m afraid Cain will attempt to disrupt as much as he can. I read some of the rumors you mentioned about Perry. The article was written years ago and strange enough, it mentions Axlerod. Politico. Hmmmm.
