Bleak Economy Prompts Men To Seek More Sex Partners?
Written by: Eurasia Review

Grim economic times could cause men to seek more sexual partners, giving them more chances to reproduce, according to research by Omri Gillath, a social psychology professor at the University of Kansas.
Men are likely to pursue short-term mating strategies when faced with a threatening environment, according to sexual selection theory based on evolutionary psychology.
When made to think about their own death, which mimics conditions of low survivability, Gillath and his colleagues found that men responded more vigorously to sexual pictures and had increased heart rates when viewing them, compared to when they thought about dental pain.
Were biologically wired to reproduce, and the environment tells us the best strategy to use to make sure our genes are passed on, said Gillath. If you think you might die soon, theres a huge advantage for a man to use short-term mating strategies to make sure there are a bunch of offspring and hope that some of them survive but women cant do the same thing.
The ultimate sign of low chances of surviving is death, Gillath added. After threatening them with their own death, we asked them to look at a computer with sexual and nonsexual images, to see if death makes men more interested in sex.

Wow. There are a number of logical (although not excusable) reasons I can see this trend happening, but none are “producing more offspring.” I think maybe as a stress relief, maybe an overall trend as the bread and circuses delve deeper and deeper into sexual themes, but I don’t believe for a microsecond it’s because men want more babies, even instinctually.
My thoughts exactly, men don’t need an made up “evolutionary” economic excuse to search for more sexual opportunities, we already know men are hardwired to have a physical need to release sexual tension. We civilized ones just find one mate, rather than many.
I don’t understand how these things get funded, perhaps with stimulus dollars? I realize there’s a hidden “anything goes, it’s natural” agenda here, but we’re not animals, no matter how hard the liberal indoctrination camps want us to behave like them.
That would be “males”. MEN plot a deliberate course and follow it. It's not a minor difference.
So now there’s at least quasi-scientific evidence that there is something to that dirty old man stuff.
Proving once again that the use of the word “science” in “social science” is misplaced and absurd.
Look, given a man's disposition, a change in the direction of the wind would do the same thing.
Sounds like Yogism’s or Stenglese.
That place is so crowded nobody goes there.
Also, the last thing people would be wanting to do is reproduce unless, of course, there is a family business, traditionally the ones on the ‘bottom’ rung had the big families and generally they were the ones who could least afford it, but guess they figured cavorting with mama was cheaper than taking her to dinner or the movies.
I am talking about before ‘Unca Sugah’ started paying for offspring, thereby making it a lucrative career.
In my case the motivation is really there but realization is hard to come by. The obstacle I encounter is that banks will not float me a loan. After all, top shelf working girls aren't cheap and without some financial assistance I can't close the deal ;-)
More “could” and “may” claptrap.
“Stimulus” dollars... that would be appropriate...
