For Portland bicycle commuters hoping that TriMet would build a sonic bike path connecting to the nations largest car-free bridge, Thursday was the day the music died.
The idea was for an intricate sequence of concrete grooves on the path that would play Simon and Garfunkel's "59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) when bicycle tires rolled over them.
. . .
Citing concerns about cost, safety and design, the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail projects art advisory committee told TriMet and Portlands Bicycle Advisory Committee today that it has voted to ditch the proposal.

Sonic Bile Path? I don't know what they play, but they probably smash their guitars at the end of a set.

Does the Sonic Bile Path intersect Technicolor Yawn Way?
Thanks for the fat fingered typo. Too funny to pass up.

A “Sonic Bile Path” sounds like something the late G.G. Allin might have been interested in unleashing on his audience.
To: Wicket
I thought this was a medical device story.

What a great idea! Bile paths could tell us who to vote for and who to hate! That would make it much easier to figure out!

I can see the bicyclists on the Simon and Garfunkle paths cruising slowly while the Metallica bike path riders ride like they’re all on meth.
This is a slippery slope, you just know there will be a Muskrat Love path as well.

Are you kidding? They created some of the best music of all time!
I hate it when leftist causes drag their music down!
