I can hear the heads of the Perry-bots exploding now. But, my Governor, Rick Perry, is embarrassing me again. This is his third Debate and instead of getting better, he's getting worse. Instead of answering the question about Social Security, he got off on State Pension Plans for State Employees. He was asked what he would do if he was President and got a call at 3:00 a.m. informing him that Pakistan's Nuclear weaponry had been taken over by the Taliban; what would he do? He never answered the question and started talking about making sure India knows that we're their friend. He tried to discredit Romney two times and both times he came across as "not knowing what he's talking about" and making false claims. More than once in the Debate, Romney (the RINO) and Senator Rick Santorum, made this professional politician, who became a millionaire off of political cronyism, look like the friggin' light-weight he is. If you were disappointed in George W., you'll be on Prozac during the Perry Administration. DAMN! I'M EMBARRASSED!
Agreed. I like a lot of what Perry says but I cannot get past this immigration stuff. I think its going to kill him with conservatives.
And that's exactly why Perry should stay in Texas, with like minded people.
TX has 1800 miles of border with Mexico.

Actually, it’s 1200 miles.

I’ve got a feeling a lot of elected officials, like Bobby Jindal, wish now, they’d have held off on endorsing Perry.
History repeats itself in 2011.
Donald Trump shows up on TV one day, throws the conservative base and tea party a bunch of red meat, shoots to the top of the polls before anyone knows his history, and oodles of conservatives endorse him for President, declare he's THE man to beat monthes before a single vote has been cast, and the only guy capable of beating Obama.

They're convinced that it's a Romney vs. Perry race and we all gotta get behind Perry. Unfortunately for them, a few monthes is a lifetime in politics. Perry will be old news by the time the primaries start in January and it could be a whole new ball game. Looks like he's already begun fizzling out. There's not much substance when you take away the phony "tea party" swagger he uses to woo crowds.
Do you think the children of illegals should pay less in tuition than legal American citizens?
Do you think people who oppose this are “heartless”?
Because Rick Perry does.
This is not about pain pills or a bad back, or all that rubbish.
It is about BAD, BAD, BAD LIBERAL IDEAS that he *clearly* articulated, and that conservatives are rightly rejecting.
He really stepped in it tonight.
Yeah, you missed one: “You want teenage girls and young women to die from cancer !”
Perry comes across as a beady eyed dim bulb.
If this person is what we offer, we could lose.
I had thought so too, until last night. We need a Republican president who will have the courage to build a wall on the border. That's a priority, IMO.
That was informative. Most DEMOCRATS watching last night would agree with Perry on that point.
Well said.
Those are still more reasons that he opposes the border fence. Take your own advice, Sue.
