Yeah, the collar and suit seem too big. He's a very weak debater. Very disappointed with his performances. With the exception of crazy Paul, I prefer anyone else to Perry. And what's with the bemused look into the camera every time Romney makes charges against him? Eyebrows raised in a surprised manner. Makes him look weak.

I agree with your analysis. Perry seems like he has been overcoached and is struggling to remember what his handlers have told him. Stumbling, bumbling, fumbling, not what I want to see in a POTUS.

So far, and sure it’s early, but it is lining up to be either Perry or Romney. I won’t say I’m overjoyed about either, but I will vote for either of them over Obama.

Up here in Washington... We don’t get a say in the primary. We get to vote for whoever we get.

I can understand why a Texan might feel embarrassed but unless you are a Perry supporter you shouldn’t be. It’s those who support his liberal policies who should feel embarrassed.

Practice. Perry needs lot of it. Romney and several others are more canned but people want that stuff.

This is the first debate I have watched anywhere near all the way through. If I was watching as a naive neutral independent, I would say Newt and Mitt Romney have had the best of it by far. Perry has looked vague and evasive. Sorry Perrybots, that's what he looked like tonight.

BTW, Rick Santorum, a doing nothing going nowhere also ran, pinned Perry's ears to the wall on subsidizing illegals' education at the expense of native born Americans. Perry puked all over the stage on his answer.

I think Perry is a dead duck waddling.

That maybe true and time will tell. But as a resident of Texas I can tell you I think Perry is in over his head big time. Now that isn’t to say he can’t recover and get some polish but he’s got a damn long ways to go. Romney ate his lunch and Perry didn’t even know that Romney was licking his plate clean.

I think maybe Perry is toast. As a strong proponent of Perry, I have been hoping to see some improvement in his performance, but I believe that, though he has some good understanding of the fundamentals, he has given very little thought to specifics and he is unable to articulate even simple explanations for things like in-state tuition.

Most off-putting of all has been his going off target to attack Romney when he has been nailed on a topic. That last shot about "which Romney are we going to see . . ." was a pathetic attempt to deflect from his own shortcomings.

I don't think Rick is ready for prime-time.

Once more Newt outshone everyone else on stage, followed closely by Herman Cain, Bachman, and (I really hate to say it) Romney. I wish Cain would pick up some traction, because I really like him and his answers. I fear that Romney is winning all of these debates and though I would prefer him to Obama, I really would like one of the other three far more.

Romney took liberal position after liberal position but you apparently don’t care. okay, I give. If you “true conservatives” want Romney you can have him. I accept there is no longer a conservative movement or Tea Party opposition. I won’t vote for him but please spare me the complaints when Obama is either elected or Romney is elected and delivers nothing conservative to the table.
