If you are tired of the endless foreign wars you will support RON PAUL.
I get your points, but Perry said something that astounded me: The Texas legislature, noted as the most conservative state legislature in the country, voted 177-4 in favor of this policy on immigration.
Someone’s gonna have to splain that to me.
who is credible in opposing illegal immigration?
it is romney vs perry, not much a choice.
depressing
If only some 1st tier candidate had waited and waited on the sidelines, keeping their powder dry, no matter what the yahoos on Free Republic or the Mainstream Media thought and said.
If ONLY they had waited for the optimum moment to ride in on a white horse and take the Nomination away from all the hobbits onstage tonight...
If only... {{ SIGH }}
That is a moronic comment from someone who is so pathetically uninformed as to be laughable.
If you support white supremacists, are a 9/11 Truther, love pork and hate Israel you will support Ron Paul.
Everytime Perry opens his mouth I lose respect for him. He is not representing himself well. He is stumbling over words and he doesn’t sound confident.
The Luntz focus group, FWIW, gives Romney a clear win over Perry while Cain and Newt had good nights also.
Why limit yourself to to two. Afteall there are plenty candidates to chose from.
I have to ask, what should the president do in that situation?
If the Taliban says, 'get out of our country, or we blow up one of the bases you have in our country', how do you respond to that?
Romney took liberal position after liberal position but you apparently dont care. okay,
Damn don’t get so emotionally attached. I didn’t say a thing about positions, conservative or liberal or express a desire for either. I’m speaking specifically about who came across the best and who I think the public will precieve as coming across more presidential.
I’m not a Romney supporter in any form or fashion.
I agree. Rick Perry had another horrible debate. He just doesn’t have the right stuff. He’s been protected by a Republican legislature during his time in office. He’s made some foolish decisions and he still can’t explain them. Those who just hate Mitt Romney will continue to cling to Rick Perry, but Rick Perry is not a winning candidate.
My sister teaches elementary school in northern CA. She says she has two `teacher’s aides’ because two-thirds of her class doesn’t speak English.
Perry and his handlers simply don’t give the American public enough credit. Just as only Nixon the `red-baiter’ could approach Red China, they must think that only Perry can do some of Obama’s stunts and then say, “OK, the border’s secure. Now for comprehensive immigration reform!”
So they grant amnesty to 20 or so million (some say more) now-`documented immigrants’ and the Dems are happy, the moderate GOP is happy, everyone’s happy—except you and me.
We pay their bills and they take our jobs. A republican strategy to count on their support (see 2008 election) is suicidal.
The only equivalent/greater threat to our national security is the importation of muslim immigrants who express ultimate tribal loyalty to one thing: their religion. the illegals don’t assimilate well and the muslims, not at all, really. So what’s Perry’s, Bush’s and McCain’s solution? “Let’s add tens of millions more to replace the ones living in shadows.”
The politics here is a matter of demographics. Red states have a growth rate of 12% while blue state population growth is 0. (America, Armageddon, Mark Steyn). All we have to do is the obvious: enforce our laws and let our neighbor to the south know we will pursue Los Zetas into Mexico if they can’t police their own country.
If you all think the present situation is untenable: budget-busting illegal immigrants causing our hospitals to close their doors, prisons bursting, MS-13, et al., wait for the real rush to begin after Perry waves his magic wand.
No thanks Texans! You can keep him there in the land of six flags. Insanity is doing the same thing over-and-over and expecting different results. Texas: It’s Like Another Country. Yep, a third world country—if you don’t live in a gated community. “Perry will be the nominee.” Good luck with that. I’ll be in the audience booing every time he pules over foreign lawbreakers and tries to apply the word “heartless” to the citizens of the most generous nation on Earth.
I think I hear hoofbeats...can you hear it?
>>> Thank God, there are enough rational thinking Republican voters in America that, I promise you now, Rick Perry will NEVER be the GOP nominee in 2012.
Then I gather you prefer Romney, since he is the beneficiary of a Perry collapse. Well whatever floats your boat.
