August 17, 2011 8:17 AM
CHICAGO (CBS) Do you want flies with that?
A Burger King on the citys South Side has been closed by the city, after inspectors found so many insects buzzing around that they were afraid to open their mouths.
LISTEN: WBBM Newsradios Keith Johnson reports
As WBBM Newsradios Keith Johnson reports, the Dumpster Task Force closed the Burger King at 1701 W. 95th St., on the eastern edge of the Beverly neighborhood, on Tuesday.
More than 200 flying insects of various species were found throughout the Burger King. They were spotted on the walls, the ceilings, the shelves for clean dishes, around the sink, in the food storage area, in a dry storage area, on the tubing of boxes of soft drink syrup, and in front of the drive-up window, according to the citys Department of Streets & Sanitation.

Get the dead body out from under the sink.
I knew an old lady who swallowed a fly, I don’t know why she swallowed a fly . . . .
The third world in Chicago....going as planned.
Of course you know, fly swatters are no longer allowed, by law, in hospitals and resturants.
Fly swatters are kept out of sight in the ER where my husband works.
Fly swatters are hidden in our local resturant.
We live in ranch country, a plague of flies this year, and it’s revolting.
One would have thought that when 0 went to DC, he would have taken his flies with him. Sheesh.
And generally when its a swarm like that, they bite. It really is miserable.
Us too. My barn has been infested with flies this year. I think we are finally starting to get it under control.
This is why I stick with In-N-Out - unlike the big chain burger places, they actually give a crap about quality. I’ll also give Five Guys a shot sometime, for the same reason.
Can I get flies with that?

A rolled-up magazine works for me.
I’m kind of surprised they even do health inspections in Chicago. I have been watching the show Bar Rescue on spike some lately and there was an episode that had a bar/restaurant in PA that obviously hadn’t been inspected in years. It was disgusting. It makes you wonder what’s going on.
This stuff knocked out my fly problem this year. I hit the barn and the trash area kilt them dead real quick. kills maggots too.
Thanks, I’ll try it. It might be the only thing left that I haven’t tried.
