A 'Skinny' Kate Middleton Collapses From Exhaustion
ibtimes ^ | July 25, 2011

The royal family is worried about Kate Middleton's health as the Princess collapsed at the end of her North American tour and was ordered immediate bed rest.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who reportedly wears a perfect size zero has sparked off concerns that her weight loss might be detrimental to her health and her ability to conceive.

An earlier report in IBT quoted Doctor Chris Steele telling Britain's Daily Star that if Kate continued to lose any more weight it was "entirely medically plausible she will have extreme difficulty getting pregnant."

"You only need look at the pictures from the current visit to Canada to see that she really has lost a lot of weight and that she's bordering on anorexia," Fabiola De Clercq, founder of Italy's Association for the Study and Research of Anorexia, told India.tv.

Looks like these fears weren't completely groundless as Middleton's official engagements were cancelled on her return from her hectic North American tour so that she could get some much needed rest.

"To make matters even worse, Kate Middleton has been starving herself to maintain her supermodel, svelte royal image. And to fit into all those chic designer clothes," wrote Hope Carson in celebs.gather.com.

I once stabbed my brother in the arm with a fork over an Eccles cake. In my defense, it was the last one and they’re delicious.

One of my all time favourite treats is sticky toffee pudding.

I forgot about sticky toffee pudding! A dessert made from prunes, or dates, I believe, but incredibly good. Summer pudding, Queen of Puddings, Eton Mess,(I make that a lot - so simple), steamed puddings, roly-poly; all to die for.

No boy should ever steal an Eccles cake from his sister!

Unpleasant about Kate and Di? Unh unh. As I alluded to earlier, they are different women. You seem to idolize Di. I merely point out that their qualifications are poles apart. My initial comment was a favorable observation about Kate. With regard to “collapsing like a cheap camera,” please understand that that is apparently a local colloquialism which, I suspect, most of the fruited plain have not heard. Please understand that there is a vast territory west of the Hudson River. Crack an atlas and satisfy that curiosity itch, woman. (If it exist.) sd

No, I mean from Rosedale BBQ,”

Wonder how many people on here know where Rosedale is. I grew up in Wyandotte County and went to Washington - then known as Rural - High School. Don’t remember any Rosedale BBQ but it might not have even been around then or maybe it was and that fact is buried under too many years of memories.

Idolize Diana? Why would I idolize Diana? Why are you mistaking my keen observations about Diana’s sexual persona as idolization?! Very silly.

I knew as soon as I posted anything about NYC it would start you off on a freeper anti-NYC rant. I can recite these dull rants in my sleep. In the immortal words of my fellow New Yorker, Kate Hepburn: bore, bore, bore.

Well, then, dear lady, why do you fall for the trap? Try Midol and cold compresses. sd

Thank God & Prince William!

You don’t seem to like women very much, do you? Do you really like Kate or do you just want to borrow one of her dresses?

Sorry to upset you, old timer. But if you’re gonna play the Midol game with conservative women, you’re gonna get insulted back. And you’ve tried it on other women on FR - I suggest you drop it before someone hits the abuse button.

I eat it all: potted shrimp, lamb with game chips, eccles cake, simnel cake, Lancaster hot pot, etc.

That's the secret to Britain's food renaissance. They simply went back to what was good in their grandparents' day and insisted on fresh local ingredients.

By the way, you haven't lived till you've had Cumberland sausage with mashed potatoes and carmelised onions. Yum!

If Rachel Zoe can get pregnant and have a healthy baby, then so can Kate.

I’ve had it! I order carmelized onions and other things from the Marks & Spencer website. At Christmas time I order Christmas cakes from a shop in Yorkshire called Bettys. I don’t like fruitcake but English Christmas cakes are the most beautiful cakes in the world and I use them as decoration.

We should also not forget the beauties of English gin and Scottish whiskey.

Oh well at least she doesn’t have to work, that might really tax her energy.

I'm sure she would prefer it but unfortunately she doesn't have that luxury any more..........

To put things into perspective for ya, I'm sure Laura Bush would have been more than happy to remain a common librarian in Texas.......Things really changed for her once that guy she married decided to go into politics didn't they?

Story of my life. Hubby decides he needs to lose, and does it. But then, sometimes, he's prone to 'forgetting to eat'. SAY WHAT?! That's something I could never 'forget' to do. But actually, he's put on and extra 30 pounds or so in the last few years; I'm a REAL good cook, and the man loves his food!

Actually, I do Weight Watchers online, and if I'm religious about counting my points, I usually lose a little bit each week. But if I get off my lazy rear and walk or do some sort of real exercise, I can take off 1-1/2 to 2 lbs. each week. Too bad I'm not religious about it. Gotta make myself do it, though, for my health.

I never thought to look at UK websites to order food. Brilliant!

This last trip, grapefruit marmalade was a revelation.
