Finally!
Something important for the State-Run-Media to talk about, instead of this boring debt ceiling raising thingy!

When someone wants to do drugs there really is no stopping them. I have learned this the hard way through family experience. The only chance is EARLY intervention. When addicts reach a certain point all you can do is pray for them. The hard thing to accept is letting them go and not having your own life destroyed by their addiction.

Such a sad waste of talent.
If anyone has not seen video of Amy Winehouse singing when even remotely close to sober, they owe themselves at least a 1/2 hour view.
That girl could sing American Blues.
Heroin, no doubt.

Very sad indeed. Wasted talent. Her “Frank” album was stunning!

I am so, so sorry.
Amy was a riveting, outstanding, challenging, and gifted performer.
I am glad I discovered her music while she was still alive; I had so hoped she would turn things around.
I will miss her terribly.
RIP, my dear Amy, RIP.

From Fox News
Born in 1983 to taxi driver Mitch Winehouse and his pharmacist wife Janis, Winehouse grew up in the north London suburbs, and was set on a showbiz career from an early age. When she was 10, she and a friend formed a rap group, Sweet ‘n’ Sour — Winehouse was Sour — that she later described as “the little white Jewish Salt ‘n’ Pepa.”

Not a Streisand talent for sure....just more flamboyancy and loud music.

Stupid woman. Talented singer with so many chances to get herself straightened out and she blew it.
When something like this happens, it’s terrible for family and friends. Those are the people I feel for right now. She was too selfish to think about them and the grief she would cause.
To: Dallas59
OMG. As someone pointed out, not a surprise. This is a tragedy. Supertalented iconoclastic straight-talker with exceptional musical standards.
RIP, poor tragic soul.

Can’t say I’m surprised. I never liked her, but hubby thought she was talented.
AFA, dead rock stars I’m more into those who died at 21-22 (Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran).

If it wasn’t for my wife’s People magazines, I wouldn’t have a clue who this woman was.
If she was talented, sad loss. I don’t think I have ever her one of her songs.
