Jane Fonda's controversy in Vietnam is almost 40 years old ... yet she claims QVC canceled her appearance at the last minute because of fears of protests from disgruntled viewers.
Jane was supposed to appear this morning to promote her new book, "Prime Time." But Fonda posted a blog on her site this morning claiming QVC gave her the boot because "they got a lot of calls yesterday criticizing me for my opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if I was allowed to appear."
For all you youngins ... Fonda was photographed sitting on an anti-aircraft gun during a visit to Vietnam in 1972. The incident has dogged her for years, earning her the nickname "Hanoi Jane."
In her blog, Fonda went on to say, "Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us."

Trying to figure out who is more stupid here: QVC for thinking we’ve forgotten, or Hanoi Jane for thinking we’ve forgotten.
I’ve not done business with QVC in the past but, seeing as how they had no qualms about inviting HJ on to plug her book, I certainly won’t do business with them in the future.
Funny how they left out the 'NORTH' part of that little gem. ESAD Hanoi Jane!
She knew or was substantially certain that her picture would be used against America by those with whom American men were fighting and dying. To me that is rendering “aid and comfort” to the enemy. She should rejoice that those running our country at the time were-(and are)-so vile, foul, corrupt and sick she avoided being tried and hung for Treason.
Payback is a female dog, Jane.
It is funny/sarc how Marxists always try to rewrite history. They are no different than muslims with their wired philosophy— where the end always justifies the means.
You can lie—say anything, kill anyone, let people die, if it leads to your sick perverted ends. Dignity and worth of individuals never matter. It is all about the collective and power over others.
Hey Barberella, free speech means free for everyone, including your employers.
Jane, you ignorant slut!
...until the day you die we will remember your traitorous acts... and then we will piss on your grave
As I read your post, I thought of what was done to Jesus Christ by the religious and governmental leaders 2000 years ago. The left still despises Him today.
The good news is that He won then, He is winning now, and He will be Victorious in the end.
That is actually not true.....one of the very few things about this commie whore that are false

'Hanoi Jane' Fonda, now 73, is a multi-millionaire who, aside from her anti-war activities that were clearly treasonous (but went unpunished) once stated, in a speech given at Michigan University in 1970:"I would think that if you understood what Communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees, that we would someday become communists." But now, when 'Hanoi Jane' wants to sell a book on QVC and people who didn't forget who Fonda really is protest her appearance, 'Hanoi Jane' whines about it and tries to pretend that she "loves" her country and our military personnel? Yeah, right.
Note to 'Hanoi Jane': No one gives a rat's patoot about your stupid book. No one wants to see or hear you, Jane. Take your millions - made in a country you wish was run by communists - and just go away. Cuba is calling. It's exactly what you said you preferred: a country run by communists. No? Gee, I'm shocked. O.K. then, just shut up with your whining. Deal? Good!
I expect there will be a line. I'd like to have a beer concession there.
I can't imagine the horror this POW must have felt, and the betrayal along with it. Many have said her actions were not that of protest, but of treason. I agree. She should have been tried and executed. The sacrifices our vets have made so we can chat on a website called Free Republic.
You want to protest, protest. Don't dare malign our military personnel however.
She should have been axed years ago.
An old protest sign I made in College.
“Free speech is not free from consequences.”
The mere fact that QVC though she might be a good idea is enough to boycott QVC.
Poor Jane, I guess being an America hating commie isn’t working out so well for ya now is it
