WHY THIS MATTERS POLITICALLY. There are two games Governor Palin is fighting: one is the battle to take control of her political narrative, the other is taking control of her PERSONAL narrative--and this includes everything surrounding her FAMILY.
Having Bristol go on The View is BRILLIANT, and does more for raising Governor Palin's political profile and stature than one may think!
With Bristol giving the whole scoop about the details surrounding her pregnancy, she takes the narrative of the "dirty details" and "dirty secrets" away from the mouths of Levi Johnston and rumor-makers in the press, who would try to use those things to detract from Gov. Palin.
I also like the comments Bristol made contrasting herself and her mother from the high-maintenance, first-class riding McCain women. Total, direct response to those pathetic 2008 rumors about Palin being materialistic and purposefully wanting hundred-thousand dollar wardrobes, about her family being "hillbillies who want the high life" etc...the McCain camp did nothing to defend the Palins against those nasty rumors. Totally deplorable considering how the Palins are the exact opposite of high-maintenance, entitled brats.
Bristol isn't running for any type of political office -- I'm assuming you were trying to say "the family of any potential future president." Regardless, many a past president and presidential hopeful has had to deal with family members making poor choices. I don't think Bristol did anything wrong in this case, but we disagree
I did not call you any names, I used your words; "flapping gums," because I felt it fit your post more than the clip. You actually did call Sarah a name - you said: I want a serious president, not some pop culture clown. Last time I checked, calling someone a clown wasn't really a compliment unless employed by the circus.
And your comment about me acting like a Democrat? Please, spare me the self-righteous nonsense. I ask again, did you actually watch the clip? If you would have, you would see that Bristol handled herself very well. I am not emotionally worked up at all, as there was nothing to get worked up about. It appears that you skipped the video, knee-jerked in your response to her being on "The View" and posted your comment.
Let me know when you want to have that "adult conversation."
Old as the sun...where I live. :)
PMS?

Of course they do...and that is what drives them (witness the fact that to get on line to meet Sarah() one had to first buy Bristol's() oeuvre de litterature).
But I, (and probably you) was raised with a certain standard and that standard would not allow for me to profit from my own bad behaviour.
If this were an obama kid five or six years from now or a Kennedy or a Romney then this place would be singing a different tune, and rightly so.
It wouldn’t matter if she sat in front of the camera and read the constitution- once again- I was commenting on going on trash TV. No I did not call Palin a clown, but the frivolous behavior of her family is starting to reflect back on her. Mom following around a dance show is also not serious behavior. Now, if what she aspires to do (and she does this very well) is be an advocate and spokesperson for conservatism, then all that stuff is not relevant.
You don’t even try to mask your rudeness. You have not yet displayed an ability to communicate without that particular trait. Not sure I understand why you thought it necessary to have such a nasty tone. It really is a shame.
Bristol was on The View! Except for the blond she reaks with more class than any of those sluts...including Ba Ba Wa Wa, who was mistress to a married senator in her better days.
Links, please?
Cheers!
Tell you what...post your real name and address and I will send them to you.
And I think it's great that Sarah is there to stand by her daughter.
"I'm right with God, and I'm right with my family."--Bristol Palin.
Cheers!
Put up or shut up, troll.

Now you're starting to get it.
btw...they were selling Sarah Palin() autographs...the price? Buy a Bristol Palin() book.
But, you see, I know and trust these people. I do not know or trust you one bit. If you want my work, which has my name on it, then you will have to tell me up front who you are.
cheers.
Talk is cheap; and the more so as you show up merely to trash Palin.
But, you see, I know and trust these people. I do not know or trust you one bit.
As Gandalf said, the treacherous are ever distrustful. You fit the bill to a T based on you posting history about the Palin familiy.
If you want my work, which has my name on it, then you will have to tell me up front who you are.
I don't want your work; I'm not even sure you really have any.
And if --for the sake of argument--you *do*, then, based upon your posting history about the Palins, I don't think I'd like it.
Troll.
Cheers! Cheers!
I am very impressed with how she has grown up in the last couple of years.
She has turned into a poised, young lady. I know her mother is proud of her.
It was the daughters book signing and people were bringing their old Palin books to Palin to sign, Governor Palin telling them that if they wanted their old books signed by her that they had to buy one of Bristol's, since that is what the event was, was smart, and motherly.
Your lack of character is on display, of course anti-social conservatives don't have much character in at their best.
As a leader for conservative causes, life, and abstinence, and as a 20 year old single mother, Bristol had to write a book telling her young abstinence audience her story, her journey.
You sure like to embellish your story........I mean, you must be great, you're telling us so....
*rolls eyes*
Here, here. I don’t get the whole Palin is wonderful but Bachmann is a clown thing. If Bachmann had everybody touting her and covering for her like Palin does, well...Rollins is right. Palin didn’t work for her spot as VP. It was given to her by an old man (McVain) trying to look virile. Palin’s like Bush, she acts like she’s owed it. Bachmann is actually out working meanwhile.
So Bristol, a teen-age mother, as now an advocate for abstinence. And we wonder why people call us hypocrites. The Lord looks down on this and weeps.
Normally I have a dim view of Bristol trying to be a celeb (I know, I know, she’s barely out of her teens, etc.), but when I watched her show up against the harpies, I was impressed with her demeanor and how she answered the bristling lib conclave. I think she has a lot of grace and I wish her well.
