WHY THIS MATTERS POLITICALLY. There are two games Governor Palin is fighting: one is the battle to take control of her political narrative, the other is taking control of her PERSONAL narrative--and this includes everything surrounding her FAMILY.
Having Bristol go on The View is BRILLIANT, and does more for raising Governor Palin's political profile and stature than one may think!
With Bristol giving the whole scoop about the details surrounding her pregnancy, she takes the narrative of the "dirty details" and "dirty secrets" away from the mouths of Levi Johnston and rumor-makers in the press, who would try to use those things to detract from Gov. Palin.
I also like the comments Bristol made contrasting herself and her mother from the high-maintenance, first-class riding McCain women. Total, direct response to those pathetic 2008 rumors about Palin being materialistic and purposefully wanting hundred-thousand dollar wardrobes, about her family being "hillbillies who want the high life" etc...the McCain camp did nothing to defend the Palins against those nasty rumors. Totally deplorable considering how the Palins are the exact opposite of high-maintenance, entitled brats.
Whoopi looks thrilled to pieces...
Don't you think the Palins would have preferred thir dirty laundry not be aired in public? Remember when "journalists" flew over Chicago to Wasilla?

Any logical reason for your rudeness? I was stating my opinion on what is appropriate behavior for a potential future president of the US. Going on TV shows like this to talk about this kind of topic is low class. Notice I didn’t call you any names, nor did I call Bristol or Sarah any names. You are acting like a Democrat- getting all emotionally worked up instead of having an adult conversation- just like the libs on welfare TV.

Get it all out now, and it's OLD NEWS during the campaign. Any reporter who keeps whipping this dead horse will not be successful.
Or at least that's my hope - that Sarah will run, Levi will fade out completely, and the Media will behave itself.
I don't like the way they have been treated by the MSM...which started long before they aired laundry or wrote books.
If you don't have a problem with it, I think that's pathetic.
Neither was a best seller by any stretch but both did considerably better than 1500.
Of course, I didn't have the all-time greatest, almost God-like conservative/woman/politician/thinker/debater/orator/FP expert/genius/strategist/mother/wife/governor/mayor/....or Sean Hannity or the VIEW chicks, etc, hawking them for me.

Watched the clip and I must say I’m impressed (and more than a little surprised),
with the courtesy and respect shown Bristol by the women of the View.

I’m shocked by how nice and civil the View gals were to Bristol. And yes, Bristol did a good job.

What do you know about them that you didn't already know? Apparently you have read the books to determine "no class there." I haven't.
I think they have as much right to make a buck as everybody else.
The part about Levi stealing Bristol's virginity is new.
Just think how much better your books would have done if you had the free publicity Bristol has had and if Sarah had agreed do to a book signing at the MOA of America with you.
Maybe you can claim to be a long-lost cousin of the Palin family...
