Extreme couponing appears to be a growing trend and in the current state of our nation's economy, who can blame coupon lovers for wanting to save money? Apparently WalMart can.
A Boise, Idaho woman claims she has been banned for life from the conglomerate retail chain, WalMart. It wasn't just one store that barred her from shopping there, but every store in the United States. The reason it happened was an argument over coupons.
April Cuevas, who has taken up the appropriately-titled hobby of "extreme couponing" in order to save money, stated that she was informed WalMart's policy known as "Ad Match" had undergone changes the previous week. As such, she took it upon herself to discuss these matters with one of the store managers and see if she could get a better grasp on the concept.

A fate worse than death!
I don’t believe this story.
Probably holding up the paying customers for hours while they counted out those coupons.
I have never really understood Coupons, paybacks and rebates.
If these Corporations want you to buy their product, cut the price.
One of the last times I was in Wally World, I got stuck behind one of these people. It was excruciating.
Apparently, it wasn’t the couponing, but her insisting on videoing a conversation she had with the store manager over the change in coupon policy.
Horrible reporting, a D minus at best.
“...

Seems that those who got greedy managed to kill it for everyone else who had some sense about not grabbing a case of disposable razors or 75 bottles of body wash.
I don’t get this whole “extreme couponing” phase.
I’m sure the stores and manufacturers started out with good intentions, but these groupon types screwed it up.
The greeters may look like doddering old men who get in your way when you try to get a cart, but in fact they are former Israeli airport security capable of memorizing the faces of thousands of terrorists, shoplifters and extreme couponers and alerting store security when they try to enter the store.
I voluntarily banned myself from walmart. I enjoy life much better now. I may return if I lose my job, until then, I am walmart free.
It’s a method of tracking how their advertising works.
They could just cut the price, but then they wouldn’t know ~who~ is buying their stuff.
I don’t clear the shelves like some people but pick up things that are on sale and use the coupons I have and save sometimes 70-90 % of my grocery bill.
My ex-wifes father got banned from Wal-Mart, back in the 1990’s when he got in a fight with the store manger over returning a VHS tape and told him he was going to wait in the parking lot until the manager got off work and shove the tape up his...uhm posterior. Which may not have been an idle threat, he was a little “eccentric”.
Extreme Couponing PING
LOL - good to know!
“Probably holding up the paying customers for hours while they counted out those coupons.”
When Sam was alive, they would open up more registers...especially if there were three people in a line.

Nice laugh for the morning!
How uncouth would one have to be to get banned from WalMart?
