Media's Whitewashing of Michael Jackson

Two years ago yesterday, Michael Jackson died of an apparent drug overdose. Since his death, Jackson's record sales have skyrocketed. He's one of the highest earning deceased celebrities of all time (surpassing both John Lennon and Elvis). There are constant tributes to him and awards named in his honor. In short, Michael Jackson has become a legend.
But whatever happened to his accusers--the ones the media now pretends never existed? Well, their lives have been difficult, to say the least. The most recent boy to come forward was forced to change his name and move to a different state, but he still finds himself constantly harassed by Jackson devotees and tabloid reporters. The first boy, the one from 1993, received death threats throughout his childhood, someone attempted to run him over with their car, and after years of hiding, he's said to have become a shut in. While fans and the mainstream media mourn the loss of their "legend", they do everything they can to destroy the lives of his alleged victims.
I found a documentary about Jackson's first victim that I would like to share with anyone interested. It contains an interview with the boy's uncle and excerpts from his session with a psychiatrist.

One consolation is that Jackson’s appeal is fading, and very quickly. I believe the scandals damaged him to the point where now his is merely seen as another tainted celebrity. Let’s face it...Elvis, Lennon and even Jim Morrison are far more popular today than Jackson, who has only been gone two years.

.
I’m sure he is enjoying all that wealth.

Isn’t it odd to use “Michael Jackson” and “whitewashing” in the same sentence?

I wonder why the negro ‘community’ doesn’t call Michael Jackson an UNCLE TOM?
He spent millions to look like and act like a WHITE person (whatever that means).
I find it ironic that one of their pop heroes did everything he could to not LOOK like ‘them’, and yet they threw their money at him and praised his name.

Well, I think the big story is that he made some success in terms of fame and rise in it. But later in life, he went a obviously declining trail.
I think some people probably think more of his classic persona from the ‘80s, such as “Thriller” when they think of him. I certainly would had I to choose between him in the ‘80s vs. the way he was in the ‘90s and beyond.

"One consolation is that Jacksons appeal is fading, and very quickly. I believe the scandals damaged him to the point where now his is merely seen as another tainted celebrity." I would like to believe that, but it doesn't appear to be true. So many teenagers who weren't even alive when Michael Jackson really deserved the "King of Pop" title absolutely worship him now. His brand is soaring out of control, and I don't see it stopping.

I think while the entertainment mass media LOVED Michael Jackson up to the album Bad, his increasingly weird behavior after that album was released and the unusual way he died made him a very unlikeable character. As such, today the entertainment mass media would rather talk about him a lot less than before.

He was living on borrowed money to the tune of $400k per month. Maybe now his kids can save a bit of it.

I heard a member of Elvis’s Memphis Mafia comment the the reason that Elvis’s estate is worth more now is because Elvis wasn’t here to spend it!

No doubt Jackson’s accounts will be out of the red in a few years.

Well, yeah, I did, and it's made me a little frustrated these last few days. But really, I don't care all that much if people want to praise Michael Jackson's accomplishments, buy his music, or applaud his bizarre robot mime routines as great dancing, it just saddens me how his victims have been so vilified. The first boy especially had a difficult life. First he was sexually abused, then he was bullied and beat up in school because of it, then his life was threatened many times over by unstable Jackson worshipers, then his father committed suicide, and now he's just this lonely recluse hiding from the world. Meanwhile, Michael Jackson was the one painted as the victim of greedy schemers and he continued to (by his own admission) sleep with little boys. It just doesn't make sense to me.
By the way,
here is the transcript of the boy's session with a therapist. I meant to link to it at the beginning of the thread, but I forgot to. It's really disturbing. Michael Jackson was a sick sick man!

I can, it’s a matter of giving it time. Just because he isn’t completely blank from the media doesn’t mean people aren’t as hyped up as they used to be. It likely will fade by degrees, and take some time.

Elvis was nearly broke when he fell off the loo for the last time.

Modern society enabled and subsidized Jackson’s perversion. I never could understand parents who allowed their kids to idolize him.

Or the parents who allowed their children to sleep with Michael AFTER the molestation allegations were exposed. As far as I’m concerned, they were just pimping their children for a chance at the good life.
There was one child, Brett Barnes, whose parents were notified that employees at Neverland saw Michael behave inappropriately towards him. One even witnessed Michael perform oral sex on the boy (he was 11 at the time). After police told them about the incidents, the parents refused to cooperate with the investigation and continued to allow their son to have a relationship with Michael.
During the 2005 trial, this boy testified that he slept with Michael until he was 19. I don’t see any logical reason a 19-year-old would sleep with a man in his 40s (especially in a mansion that’s filled with guest units and spare beds) unless there was a sexual component to their relationship—a relationship that his own parents fostered when he was too young to know any better.
