Is Afghanistan Withdrawal Plan Fast Enough?
Too fast. The Taliban could easily regain momentum.
Not fast enough. The troop withdrawal is long overdue.
Just right. We need to balance the needs on the ground with the desire to bring troops home.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
Voted. “Too fast” leads with 52.08 percent.
Oh, say can you see
th’last US forces
left in Afghanistan,
which by rights should be green glass...
And the gardens of Ka-
buls now blasted to bits,
like th’entire countryside,
(poppies are not included)?
So, Osamas now dead.
Was in Pakistan, too!
But, hey, so were told,
not a single soul knew(?)
We brave men and women
of the US forces say,
how many more must die there,
so 0bama gets 2012?
We are pissing upwind over there.
If the ROE mean you can’t...
1) shoot until shot at
2) shoot at a burka-clad person
and if you get some kind of medal for ‘restraint’
to h3ll with them.
Pull out, blow the place to green glass and be done with it. This could all be solved by a superpower in one or two seconds. And without the loss of one more serviceman or -woman’s life.

The bamster is doing this, only because his poll numbers are dropping and he needs to revitalize his base to vote for him in 2012. After the elections, if he wins, they all be sent somewhere else.
perfect comments.
ditto.
the ONLY thing that a politician has to sell is his ability to keep his word. The more radical or the new the political the more God-like his pronouncements become. And, the harder they are to keep.
Obama falls into both categories above so his word was impossible to keep and most people who voted against him knew this.
Irregular Warfare is manpower intensive on both sides. Those who have fought it know this. See the supporting forces for SEAL-6’s raid on Bin laden. Those who haven't will never understand it. See the ROEs and involvement of REMF lawyers.
What Obama has done is to snatch victory away from us and increased the body count for nothing.
