Dairy delights: Eating butter and cheese 'doesn't increase risk of heart attacks'
Daily Mail ^ | May 20, 2011 | Daily Mail Reporter

It's great news for cheese and butter fans - scientists have found that eating dairy food doesn't increase your risk of a heart attack. Nutritionists surveyed thousands of middle-aged people and found that even those who ate more than half a kilo of cheese did not seem to suffer from increased risk. Contrary to earlier beliefs that saturated fat might lead to a heart attack, researchers found that nutrients in dairy products actually counteract the harmful effects.

Add ice cream to the list of safe foods and I’ll take it back. ;-)

According to my research, consumption of white bread, sugar, and rice lead to hyperinsulinism, which leads to high cholesterol and heart attacks.

Hmm...

Alfredo Sauce ingredients:
butter
heavy whipping cream
salt
Parmesan cheese
Romano cheese
egg yolk

So, this is not “a heart attack on a platter” anymore? Cool!

Were the “scientists” hired by the dairy industry? Could this be more AGW style misdirection?

I tend to agree.

I gave up trying to pay attention to all the various health alerts decades ago.

One would come out. Months/years later, the opposite would come out.

Ironically, most tended come down on the side of the issue that their funding source supported.

Can I get a side bet down that dairy fat doesn’t cause heart attacks but does cause (pick one or more) cancer, Altzheimers or arthritis ? Thank and please pass the Stilton

The food nutcases at the Center for B.S. never asked the question about why it is baby cows don't just stiffen up and drop dead of heart attacks.

They consume incredible quantities of HIGH FAT WHOLE MILK every day for months.

The answer is milk has anti-cholesterol drugs built in.

That's why baby cows ultimately end up as hamburger! For the baby bulls, they end up as sirloin much sooner!

“This study is brought to you by the Dairy Association and Cheese Council.”

BS, I have a Dr buddy who has sent me several well researched articles over the years saying exactly the same thing.

It’s the statin makers you need to keep an eye on.

This reminds me of when the so called “experts” revised the normal body temperature a few years back.

If they took a hundred years to figure out how to average out a thermometer reading, I can just imagine how well this study or whatnot is.

We may need a study to research this study of the previous research on the previous study that researched the past documentation from past studies based on some random data.

It shall continue, on my dime.

I make pudding from heavy cream, along with frosting for cakes, and of course ice cream. It is the sugar that causes harm to the body in excess.

Butter from pastured, grass fed cows is one of the healthiest fats on the planet. Enjoy it!! New evidence shows that veggies cooked in good butter will make their nutrients more accessible to the body.

Choose dairy from clean sources where the chance of getting hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, and frankenfood effects (bad cattle feed) are minimized.

Choose your source of dairy from this list, which rates the dairies by quality: http://www.cornucopia.org/dairysurvey/index.html

Always, with animal products, you only want to eat from HEALTHY animals.

And always choose FULL FAT dairy products. They are better for you, they will fill you up and make you enjoy them, and non- or low-fat dairy means it is mostly carb or sugar rather than healthy fat, contributing to insulin and overweight problems. Fat is not bad for you, as long as it is healthy, clean, saturated fat.

Another thing to remember is to save money on everything EXCEPT what you put in or onto your body. Your food BECOMES you. Don’t scrimp on it. Scrimp on everything else.
