We need prayers!
My 95 year old mother, Virgina, did not wake up this morning. She is still only semi-responsive in the emergency room at Sutter Memorial Hospital. When I arrived there from Stockton at 10:30AM here blood pressure was 53 over 37 and her O2 saturation level was 62%. I took her hand, which was very cold, and said "Hi Mom!" and she opened one eye and looked at me. When I asked her how she felt she mumbled "Awful!"
She then went back to being only semi-responsive.
Her BP is now much better and O2 is up to 87% on 100% oxygen... But she is still out of it.
The diagnosis is double pneumonia... But there also may be congestive heart failure.
At her age, I just want her not to suffer... Whether she is called home to God or recovers. What I fear is the horrid middle ground where she winds up with no quality of life in a nursing home and doesn't know who she is, who her family is, or what is happening to her and lingers forever in a medical limbo. She has left orders for no extraordinary measures to save her... And we will honor that. So prayers are needed for the best resolution for her... But God's will be done.
I’m so sorry. Prayers for you and your family.

May your mother rest in God’s peace.
Prayers for and condolences to her family and friends.
Prayers up

When I got to him he looked at me and said, "I'm the one who is supposed to be falling apart, not you."
At 95, she lived so long that she might have had to bury you. At least there is the consolation that she didn't have to suffer that.
Thank you for informing us, Sword.
Sorry Swordmaker.
Prayers and sympathy.
Prayers be with you.
God bless you, Swordmaker.
May your family find comfort in the knowledge that Jesus has prepared a place for us, and that His Father’s house has many mansions.
Prayers sent.
When I shall come to the end of my way,
When I shall rest at the close of life's day,
When “Welcome home” I shall hear Jesus say,
O that will be sunrise for me.
When in His beauty I see the great King,
Join with the ransomed His praises to sing,
When I shall join them my tributes to bring,
O that will be sunrise for me.
When life is over and daylight is passed,
In heaven's harbor my anchor is cast,
When I see Jesus, my Savior, at last,
O that will be sunrise for me.
Sunrise tomorrow, sunrise tomorrow,
Sunrise in glory is waiting for me.
Sunrise tomorrow, sunrise tomorrow,
Sunrise with Jesus for eternity.
May the God of All Comfort wrap you and yours in the mantle of His love. Amen ...
Amen.
Prayers are on the way.
I am deeply sorry for your loss, having lost a parent this year myself. Even when we know and accept it will happen, it is hard, a time for reflecting and even growing as one generation passes the torch to the next. Our hearts go out to you and your mother’s soul of blessed memory. Take time to grieve and remember, and know that we will always be here for you in the coming days.
So sorry to hear, but am glad your prayers that she not suffer pro-longly were answered. Some day you will Stroll over Heaven with her.
