Lots of people have been discussing the subject of the layers found within President Obama's Long Form Birth Certificate. What I haven't really heard discussed yet is the easiliest seen and most damning problem with the document. It contains mixed pixel sizes, clearly visable to anyone by merely zooming in on the PDF in Adobe Reader. First off, let's download the document from the White House.

Once you have downloaded the PDF, follow my instructions for examining it. Some of you may choose to close your eyes to this and not try... But all who do will be in for a shock... You can come to your own conclusions but the truth is unavoidable once you see what I have found.
First off, left click on the PDF to see the full Birth Certificate form as provided by the White House.
Find the part in the upper right hand side, where it says DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH and has the numbers 61 10641 written underneath...
Using the Adobe PDF reader, click on the 1600% magnification and look a the numbers 10641...
Check out the number one on the right hand side... notice how pixelated it is? Notice also that it is made up of a bunch of different colors!!! Now get a good feeling for the size of the individual pixels that make up this number...
Now take a look at any of the numbers to the left of the one, notice they are all one color only? More importantly than that, there are numerous places on all the other numbers where you can clearly see how large the size of a single pixel is. The pixals in all the other numbers are only one quarter the size of the pixels in the one on the right hand side.
If you scan a document, the whole document will be made up of identical sized pixels... If this document was real, it would be made up of identical sized pixals...
BUT IT'S NOT!!!
Okay, now zoom the PDF out to where the whole Birth Certificate is visable. Now, left click once on the image and it will go blue... right click and select Copy Image... Now open up Microsoft Paint, Corel Paint Shop or whatever other imaging program you use and paste the image in the program... The basic background of the form is there but almost all of the written data is gone.... What the heck??? Where did all the writing go? There is just white shadowing where the words were.
When you copied the document, the layer with the smaller pixels was NOT coped... That's why you don't see it when you paste the document in an imager... Also notice that the number one on the right hand side did appear in the pasted form. That's because it was the same pixel size as the background form of the document. Now finally, Why is there a white shadow left where the missing text and numbers used to be? Because it was an intentional forgery, they took the time to alter the background of the text and numbers, so that the characters would look realistic... but they screwed up on matching the pixel size of the overlaying text!!!
Finally, remember... I didn't make this PDF... You just downloaded it from the White House!!! GAME... SET... MATCH!!!
Well, BHO Senior was no kind of American, so Afro-American and Aframerican are out. And so is Junior's "Natural Born" status.
The green background is less distinct behind the text than to the side of the text, again suggesting layering.
Or you have the wrong cursor selected. Try again after selecting the arrow cursor.
I would note that just about the only text that shows up is the rightmost /1/ in the registration number at the upper right, and the little /M/ just below it.
Not recognized as text or to be treated as a vector, whilst the comma and the /1/ and /M/ are raster?

If I were the guy in the White House and I had no honesty but had an actual valid certificate on file, I would release a version that had some anomalies, just to keep the controversy going. Those who care about the issue wouldn't support him anyway, and it helps make those in the middle think that those to the right are kooks. Plus, it helps boost a potential spoiler in the next Presidential election.
I thought the same thing. And if that's the case, then it's a case of forging an official document, and in my opinion, would be an impeachable offense.

If you scan from the scanner then the scanner software makes the most detailed image it can depending upon the presets, but if you scan from a full version of Adobe Standard where Adobe controls the scanner, then the Adobe Standard presets control the entire condensation process that makes a pdf much smaller than a full jpg or tif scan from the same scanner.

My friend used the same exact steps on a different birth certificate and the ‘layers’ did not happen at all. No white, nothing lifted no ‘anything of the sort’ discussed on FR/Blogs when following the same steps. Any reason that only with O’s that this occurs.
I understand that... i was simply pointing out that there is an updated version out there on the whitehouse web site... why would they have had to update it?
The current one was created at 12:29pm on April 27. It is now a flat file, and no longer layers in Illustrator... Why the need to do that?
This IS from the 12:29pm on April 27 version, you can still see the difference in pixel size and copy and paste it into an imager to see the text dissapear!!!

I noticed that the #1 on the right side is a completely different shade then the other numbers. It is also lower then the other numbers
I noticed the letter R in BARACK visible but lighter in the blue image. In the box below I notice the letters g and p.

I’m in graphics too. Been wrangling Adobe apps since my first Mac quad, and doing it old school with process cameras and darkrooms before that.
The “M” is part of the form itself, in much the same way as dates on forms used to be “_____/______/19______” so that the person filling out the form would only have to put “A” or “P” in the box. There are many things in the document that concern me, but this isn’t one of them.

My guess is that they use that cut-out template to cover the original endorsements on the bottom, allowing the new copyto be stamped with the new copy date.

Any reason that only with O’s that this occurs.It depends on the software you use, and its configuration. O’s certificate PDF was created with Mac OS X 10.6.7 Quartz PDFContext. I am not familiar with that particular piece of software (I do not own a Mac), but I suspect that it applies this compression technique by default (if not, somebody switched it on). Other software does not, or it uses a different technique instead.
But I really had issues with pdf copies made from my AutoCAD drafting program and the fonts Adobe would and wouldn't recognize.
