"Hey Suzie, Why don't you use this. It's got a calculator" Father hands Suzie a smart-phone... and business grows!
As a start I will refer to multiple recent news articles here and otherwhere about health, license and zoning bureaucrats stopping such lemonade stands at first sight!
It is not that I object to this commercial, it is that it is what we would like but cannot have. It took me a year to realize that my business had multiple silent partners called government who could not be bothered to differentiate between a start-up business and an established 20 year company let alone IBM. Wait until Suzie starts filling out those OSHA and EPA forms ...
Verizon is anything but small business friendly. Not a lot of choices out there.
A great political commercial would be a parody where Obama shuts down Susie.
“Capitalist pig!” “Exploiter!”
Verizon sucks.
It’s a cute commercial, but how many times are they gonna run it?
I wouldn’t be too picky. It is a cute and effective commercial. We all know, in real life the liberal busy bodies in her neighborhood would shut down her lemonade stand because she didn’t have the proper paperwork and the city would be demanding sales taxes.
I've had great results. Have you asked a business sales rep to see if you qualify for a GPO for your business? You can get major discounts.
The tag line at the end came from her snotty personal assistant wanting to know, "Is she expecting you?"
That little actress is perfect in this.
Can you really get a phone you can swipe a credit card through?
"First of all you're going to have to grease the local politicians for the sudden zoning problems that always come up. Then there's the kickbacks to the carpenters, and if you plan on using any cement in this building I'm sure the teamsters would like to have a little chat with ya, and that'll cost ya. Oh and don't forget a little something for the building inspectors. Then there's long term costs such as waste disposal. I don't know if you're familiar with who runs that business but I assure you it's not the Boy Scouts."
Verizon sucks, huh? Why do you say that? What’s your experience?
I have Verizon because of the reception-look at their coverage map! Never a dropped call, internet coverage that NO other provider has...whazzup?
Oh yippee - here we go again with a battle of the cell carrier fanbois :)
At least it’s better than the one for the flea control product. It shows cute little dogs as “patriotic protesters”. I guess Obama has managed to organize even the Canine Community.
Or monkey bars...either one.
I have a serious problem with companies like verizon who ship all their jobs overseas, abuse American employees, and then work with other carriers to fix prices.
In India they get phone service for $1 per month for about 600 mins. Sure their labor is cheaper but they got the same infrastructure. Since most American labor has gone to India just where is Verizons costs?
Got a job offer from them once. They wanted me to work 70-80 hours a week on an hourly basis. But they wanted me to know up front they were only gonna pay for 40.
But its Verizon or AT&T for cell phones. So much for eliminating monopolies.
Well done!
understand and we ALL know what you are saying but...just sit back and enjoy it and lighten up a little. It’s a nice thought and is positive in a world of negatives. I’ll take that any day than the commercials making the dads look like weak jackasses hoping to make the moms look like the tough guys. So, this is cute, funny and just plain nice.
as many times as people write to let them know what a great commercial it is. How many times do they run any commercial??????????????? Hope they run this as much as they run the one with the adults sitting in a bathtub. This one makes more sense and brings a smile to everyone. Remember...that’s what they make remotes for. On and off buttons. :)
