UMD has the best line in college hockey right after the Sioux which got upset by Michigan.

Great News. I live in Michigan and am always happy to see the leftists at the University of Ann Arbor lose.

That’s not nice. In a NCAA national championship game ‘our’ Woverines were representing everyone in MI including alumni that are not all libtards, hello.

MI is a rather red state here these days and is more than just a school in kookland, if you had bothered to look around, you would know this.

Congrats to the Wolverines for once again making it to the national championship - and still has more NCAA hockey titles than any other team in the nation.

And congrats to Duluth for winning their first championship against the mighty Wolverines.

Learn something about sportsmanship and try not to lower the average on how the rest of the country views Michiganders.

I was rooting for UM because Ben Winnett who scored against the Sioux in the semis is from the same tri-city area of my hometown Vancouver BC. He’s from new west (it’s dead there) and I have a lot of respect for Berenson as a coach. But Minn Duluth has the best line in college hockey with Schmidt and Oleksuk so I was not surprised that UMD knocked UM off.

LOL! Good game though. far better than last year’s BC game. Love FN hockey. Now on to the Stanley Cup when my Canucks win it all hehe. (Unless my adopted Kings do something about it)

Well somebody had to win and when it goes to overtime and sudden death it’s more or less of a tie anyway.

Much of the country is unaware of the skill level of NCAA hockey, that was a very fast game, excellent skating, shooting and coaching. And Berenson was no flunky as a Red Wing in Hockeytown, USA. Lots of local positive vibes.

Am thrilled for the Duluth kids, they won fair and square.

Now am headed to emergency to get my fingers that I chewed off and get them sewn back on, LOL!

What a great game. One of the best things about college hockey is that it’s a rare big-time sport where small schools like UMD, Lake Superior State, Bemidji State and North Dakota can be national championship contenders.

Great job UMD. I remember watching the 4 overtime 1984 hockey finals which Duluth lost to Bowling Green. Hard to believe that is their only 2 shots at the title. They have a long history and great support in Northern MN. UMD also won the Div 2 football tourny this year. Nice...

Go Bulldogs!

I remember when I was a young kitten driving up to Duluth with my wife in mid-Winter to see a Duluth hockey game.

There wasn't anything else to do in town at that time of year.

...well, OK, there was for us, but we were married.

...he shoots! He SCORES!

Cheers!

Was great to see this game as the kids really worked their butts off and tried every moment as opposed to going to say a Florida Panther pro game.
Funny thing though, there was no report of any U.M Deluth kids looting or burning up cars around their campus after the game. What’s with that???

Great game. I remember back in the late 60s and early 70s when the Bulldogs would score more short handed goals than the opposition would score on power plays against them.

Simple, the campus is to far up the hill for the lazy liberals to get up to.

UMD Upsets Michigan win NCAA Frozen Four 3-2 in OT

This game was no upset. UMD was the better team and had been first or second ranked in the nation for a good part of the season. Michigan couldn't skate with them.

UMD also has the Division II football national champions so it has been a good year.
