I know you used the zoom feature, but still, how close did you have to get to that snake?

Did you see the video posted on breitbart.tv of the model who had her breat bitten by a snake, and the snake died of silicone poisoning?

It’s also mating season. And Cotton Mouths are very aggressive during mating season.

Right out of high school I worked on a survey team surveying swamps in Eastern Arkansas. They would actually attack if you got too close or if you bothered them while they were “mating”. We’d kill 5 or 6 a day with sling blades. It was for the government so we weren’t allowed to carry a gun. I quit the day we had to shoot a line accross a “lake” where you could see the snakes all entangled with each other.

I killed 3 of them last year.

Interestingly, I spotted two of them while looking out the window while on the computer. The third was near my AC unit.

None of them were very near water.

C’mon swampsniper, you gotta poke them moccasins with a stick and git ‘em to rear up and open dat cotton mouth!

They are a most impressive snake when they are lunging toward you, mouth wide open, cotton candy inside. It just screams DANGER!

Photobucket I caught this monster in my yard a couple of weeks ago. I started to shoot him but they have been known to charge when wounded.
