I spent some time at the St. John's County Arboretum today, by next week it's going to explode with blossoms. The annual garden show is less than a month from now, my friend the master gardener is working hard to get things ready.
Some of these shots are of the same flowers as my last posting but they're all new from today. More variety is on the way

We are in Chicago this week and it has been very cold, windy, cold, gray, and cold all week, except yesterday was nice sunny and warm. But I can see why people move to FLORIDA when they retire - or Texas, Az, Calif., NM, etc. Chicago is beautiful, and clean, the people are friendly. But soon they get Rahm E as mayor UGH! We are on the Magnificent Mile at Hyatt Regency and the view out the window is Wrigley Building, beautiful. But I would still NEVER pick this cold climate to live in. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr The river below is GREEN for St Paddy Day.

My wisteria beats your wisteria.
Kidding. Great post!
I planted some summer petunias like yours as an afterthought some years ago. They are lovely, easy care plants and bloom all spring, summer and fall.

Aren’t Flowers wonderful. They give one the feeling of renewal and the beauty in the world we sometimes overlook.

Very beautiful. I can’t pick a favorite, I love them all.
Did you know that your work makes a positive difference in the lives of complete strangers? We appreciate all that you do.
With all of the ugly in the world that we are confronted with each day, I can come to one of your posts and within moments, feel like I am in a better place.
I can no longer walk the mountain trails in search of meadows of beautiful wildflowers to stand in.... or sit on a log waisting the day away. Your photo’s offer a window, allowing us to at least see.. what we once touched.
Thanks....

Nice pics. As a kid, we used to go down to Florida to hunt on private property which has since been purchased by the State and turned into a wildlife management area. It was farther south from you but when we went for spring turkey season, The flowers, especially near orange groves were heavenly.
P.S. I actually preferred our trips down there during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Weather was generally cooler and we didn't have to worry so much about snakes and mosquitoes.
