I watched about two minutes of it once. It was abysmally stupid and I hit the remote. I understand they also sing, and I hate musicals.
I saw the first couple of episodes and felt that it was reasonably entertaining. But it VERY quickly turned into a quite different experience. I stopped watching. It encapsulated pretty much everything wrong with our culture.
We just banned Glee in our house after the last episode.
MY LETTER TO FOX

Corporate Communications Fox Broadcasting Company
Dear Fox Broadcasting,
Show Choir has been part of our family history for a long time.
However “Glee’s” girly, immature, sexualized storyline offends
my values. I tried to watch an episode last year but it jumped
the shark in my book. Apparently your idea of family entertainment
and my idea are very different.
We have quite enough edgy, angsty, Junior High storylines on TV.
I thought you were going to be different and fresh and entertaining
without gratuitous sexual content and typical agendized conservative
bashing.
I’m over you. Nielson and other ratings organizations do not get to
claim me as a viewer. I hope others follow.
Come on... make me proud. Do something original and for once tell a
good story without gimmicks and pc garbage.
Ex Glee Fan

*Glee has devolved into a worldview-training course*
You’ve described just about every show on TV. Just turn it off and cut the cord.
The pro-gay propaganda ratio to straight is far in excess of the reported number of gay people in the population.
I quit watching at the “Madonna” episode. I find her so distasteful that I will not buy a product she advertises and I change the radio whenever her songs come on. The minute they glorified her, I knew it’s wasn’t for me.
I am surprised at the number of people that have stopped watching Glee.
I am shocked at the number of people that would watch it, in the first place.....
When a show or something is described as "edgy" or "a guilty pleasure" it is a euphemism for something that used to be called smut, porn or trash. Typical stuff that was X or R rated in the 70s that is now PG-13 or PG.
Glee is very popular and a big money maker for Fox. However, I don’t see the show being on 10 years like American Idol, CSI, NCIS etc. The reason I believe it won’t last that long is because these kids are going to be replaced once high school is over next year....the writer and others have said as much. Once they bring in another batch of kids the show MIGHT make it one last year. It is a four year (season) show and that is it.
It's too bad because I think they really could have made a positive impact, but being Hollywood they just can't bring themselves to do it.
Side note: I can't stand Gwenyth Palthrow on it and her pathetic attempt at a singing career.
I’ve been thinking of late the gay actor playing a gay kid is writing every show. It seems to be all about being gay. I really got turned off by the “Chastity Club” number, all dressed up in their 1970s prom dresses and Osmond Brother vests singing “Afternoon Delight” purporting that it was all about splurging on ice cream for lunch.
Next take Kurt, the gay kid. Yeah, he is flaming and queer as a football bat, but he has never even kissed someone. When he came out to his father, his dad said "son, I've known that since you were three years old" that was a really touching scene. Dad wishes son wasn't gay, but loves him because he is his son.
Glee is intentionally over the top so you can enjoy it without taking it too seriously. There is always something that has me literally LOL, and thats rare from tv shows. Flame suit on and ready...
I used to walk in for some of the performances last season, but I'd rather watched reruns on BBC America instead.
Maybe I’m cynical but I think these producers wanted to draw this young crowd in and give parents a false sense of security when they watch the show. Then all of the sudden they start springing these over the top story sexual lines at us....
They make enough of an impression and once again, Heartland America gets drawn into this crap called Glee.
After the last show which I happened to be watching from the kitchen while freeping, I told my daughter she’s done watching it. PURE garbage. Her response was, ok.....I didn’t like it anymore. It was getting stupid.
Alas, that which began could not be sustained. Glee failed soon into the second season.
Never watched it, looked to ridiculous for me to waste time on.
Currently trying out “The Breakout Kings” on A&E, it isn’t too bad.
It’s a show about homosexuals, why would anyone normal watch it?
