I fell prey to temptation. My ears were being tickled. But I have corrected my path! --- Last night, I watched Glee for the last time. (snip) Glee has devolved into a worldview-training course. And its worldview is without hope. --- The music of the show is what has drawn me, and I will miss it. But it is an understatement to say that the show is edgy. The characters include...

It's too bad because I think they really could have made a positive impact, but being Hollywood they just can't bring themselves to do it.
Side note: I can't stand Gwenyth Palthrow on it and her pathetic attempt at a singing career.
I have to switch channels when the TRAILERS come on....
Yes, I was trying to be kind.
I’m told that being kind is good fo me.
I almost threw up a little while typing it.
Darn my therapist.
;-)
I’ve been thinking of late the gay actor playing a gay kid is writing every show. It seems to be all about being gay. I really got turned off by the “Chastity Club” number, all dressed up in their 1970s prom dresses and Osmond Brother vests singing “Afternoon Delight” purporting that it was all about splurging on ice cream for lunch.
Typically I’ve enjoyed the first couple of years of David E. Kelley productions. Usually he doesn’t start the lecture stuff until he gets the characters established. From the descriptions thus far of Harry’s Law I haven’t even bothered to DVR it. I love Kathy Bates but when Kelley starts out bashing conservatives from the first episode there’s not much point.
Next take Kurt, the gay kid. Yeah, he is flaming and queer as a football bat, but he has never even kissed someone. When he came out to his father, his dad said "son, I've known that since you were three years old" that was a really touching scene. Dad wishes son wasn't gay, but loves him because he is his son.
Glee is intentionally over the top so you can enjoy it without taking it too seriously. There is always something that has me literally LOL, and thats rare from tv shows. Flame suit on and ready...
I used to walk in for some of the performances last season, but I'd rather watched reruns on BBC America instead.
Glee just reinforced the negative image glee clubs had to fight to years. Glee is a homosexual propaganda show and should be avoided. (and their advertisers)
“Afternoon Delight” is one of my favorite 70’s songs...now the thought of it will make the song get stuck in my head.
My wife watches it for the music. I will watch Sue Sylvester scenes since she is so over the top ruthless.
Unless things have changed, the show's creator said that the characters would not graduate. They would be perpetually in high school.

That is horrible. Hopefully both of our stories are right and it ends in a year or two.
You are right about that. Network television is banal and politically correct. Absolutely nothing on network TV is worth watching. I don’t think I’ve watched a major network series since the 80s.
I agree!
Maybe I’m cynical but I think these producers wanted to draw this young crowd in and give parents a false sense of security when they watch the show. Then all of the sudden they start springing these over the top story sexual lines at us....
They make enough of an impression and once again, Heartland America gets drawn into this crap called Glee.
After the last show which I happened to be watching from the kitchen while freeping, I told my daughter she’s done watching it. PURE garbage. Her response was, ok.....I didn’t like it anymore. It was getting stupid.
Alas, that which began could not be sustained. Glee failed soon into the second season.
I pointed this out to my kids. Out of all the people I know, which over the years probably adds up to hundreds, only two are gay. And I have an artsy background and artsy friends. For all these gay characters to show up in one TV show is sort of lame.
BTW, the kids now say stuff is “gay” when it is lame or stupid. I wonder if gays are offended ;-)
I am humbled by the propaganda value.. but it could use more hyperbole.. thanks..
Inspires me to try to do better..
High school was over for most of the cast years ago. TV is notorious for casting 25-year-olds to play teenagers.
