On the 22nd of last month I bought some camera lens filters from a seller in New Jersey. On the 25th the package was scanned in to Jacksonville Florida. It sat in Jacksonville until yesterday, 9 days!
I called the local PO last Friday and got things stirred up, otherwise my filters might still be stuck in Jacksonville.

That’s nothing. Two years ago, I had an ‘Express Mail’ overnight delivery package... that it took the Post Office ten days to deliver.
At least the non-USPS shippers (who charge less) will give you your money back if they do that. USPS didn’t even apologize and the local postmaster acted like I should be glad I got my shipment at all.

I just bought some gear last week. It was .70 extra to send via UPS rather than USPS. You better believe I dug in for the “premium” service LOL ;-)

After the Pony Express started, it actually only ran for like six months before it was totally obsoleted. By the railroads or the telegraph, not sure which...

Just don't -
don't - give it back to Wells Fargo. They'll tell the horse to be there in Nebraska yesterday while they tell it to find it's hay in Kansas the day before. Trust me - I'm on the inside, looking out.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

yep - a couple week ago, I ordered 4 things at the same time, on line.
Scans showed all went out on the same day. I got one in 3 days - by UPS.
the other 3 took 9 days, Post Office.
Mail was delivered faster when I was in school - over 50 years ago - no jet planes, no computers....

Still it's the best postal service in the world and they wont go on strike like the Teamsters of UPS.
Nothing against UPS, we've got good UPS conservatives just like we have good people in the USPS and Fed-Ex.

What is surprising here is that you were actually able to get usable information from USPS Track & Confirm. It is just not in the same league as UPS/FedEx tracking.
A couple of years ago, the USPS delivered my new Netgear router to the middle of the street in a neighborhood about five miles from where I live. They just left the box in the street. A nice woman found it and called me. Amazingly, it was undamaged.
