Sending prayers along for Josy. Best regards...

Just remember the producers, et al are big Obama lovers. Their work is as fantastic as Obama’s. In other words, well, you know the rest.

>>Mitchum died at 77. After he was 70 he was in 17 pictures and three TV series, including War and Remembrance and the remake of Cape Fear. His last part was in the year he died.<<
WOW! Thanks for checking that out. Mitchum was clearly a man’s man and a woman’s man! I had heard he worked to dang near his last breath.
Let him be an inspiration to us all.

"Everything Randy Newman does sounds the same."You're right...it does. He needs to retire.
Exactly! Ugh, I can't stand Randy Newman... I'll never understand why he is considered to be such a "treasure" in LA/Hollyweird...
Sorry, La Enchiladita... I know Newman's song "I Love LA" is the Dodgers' victory song.

It looked like there was a Joan of Arc theme in some of the gowns.

>>Since when? AMPAS is notoriously bowled over by traditional stuff and British films. Hip films rarely win Best Picture.<<
Well, artsy fartsy films usually do well, but if it is too popular it gets flushed.

I wondered about the odd circle on her chest.
The gowns this year at the Oscars have been odd, to say the least- with the exception of the elegant Helen Mirren.
She’s always dressed beautifully- age appropriate, and always beautifully coiffed.
Beady eyed Nicole Kidman’s dress was horrid, as was Scarlet Johanson’s purple lace mess with the odd light splotches down the front. Her hair was stringy and awful,
I hate the hairdos that are fashionably ‘messy’- that look like a mop after a hard day’s scrubbing.

I thought Lobmardo stopped doing New Year's Eve because he died of a heart attack in 1977.

Mitchum was clearly a mans man and a womans man!
A one woman man by all accounts. An outlier in Hollyweird.

I guess this little singing montage was funny for the 15-20 year olds in the audience...?

Randy Newman song; blah, blah, blah, blah, and a doo doo doo. That’s pretty much it.

Which of course made him more attractive to women.
Thanks for pointing it out: he was a REAL MAN who honored his commitments!
