Since retiring from the military I have been a firm supporter of concealed carry. I am personally a fan of 1911 pistols and have had the pleasure of carrying many different types of 1911.

2 weeks ago I picked up the Sig Sauer 1911 c3 carry model. Not sure how many of you carry but this gun is an absolute pleasure to carry. It's light, handles well and has no sharp edges for those of you that carry small of the back. I have fired about 3k rounds thru it so far and have not had one failure.

The only thing I think I would change on it would be the sights since i am a fan of Tritium sites but besides that about the only way I can describe this gun is perfect. It's thin, lightweight, carrys well, sites in well and of course also can exchange parts with other 1911's. Great Gun IMHO.

I have a Sig Sauer P250C a compact tactical combat pistol chambered in 40 S&W for one of my CCW weapons. It holds 13 + 1 rounds, has tritium night sights and can be converted to .357 Sig with a simple barrel change. The quality of these weapons is great and their customer service is exceptional.

To each his own. IMHO, CZ firearms exist for the sole purpose of making Sig owners realize they spent way too much.

My favorite weapon is my 357 NJ State Trooper side arm from 1976. That thing has history and is just all types of fun.

Is it super accurate? I always found SIGs to be like target pistols.

Sig P220 Carry
Very sweet trigger.
Prefer it to my Gold Cup, which is all tricked out for competition.

You simply can not go wrong with Sig Sauer. I bought one of the first P229 .357 Sig models back around ‘91 and carried it for years until I moved to Japan. Best performing handgun I have ever had. Right up there with the Colt Python for precision and handling, but not quite a carry piece.

I’m a big 1911 fan. Have a couple of them and have sent thousands of rounds downrange with them.

But... Last year I got a Sig P220 Elite. Just... wow.

Not only is it just damn comfy to shoot, but it’s got that “short reset trigger” (SRT) that makes follow-ups just... magic. It’s also so darn easy to strip open and clean. I love the hammer-drop, and the double-action first shot. No safety. Love that too.

I still love my Kimber 1911’s, but dang... as a daily carry weapon that Sig has won me over.

Someday soon I hope to able to afford a *Sig*. Until then I’ll have to make due with my CZ-75 and Ruger GP-100.

I don’t have any firearms.

They were all lost in a freak voting accident a couple years ago.

I have an LCP for pocket carry, but would love a P238 someday.

What an elegant pocket gun.

For the 1911, I love my Kimber’s.

Two of my Sigs:

Inspired by the Tea Party movement, adorned with beautiful nickel accents, and inscribed with the insignia that proudly flew on the flag that took us to battle throughout the Revolutionary War. This limited edition P226 is a must have for SIG SAUER shooters. Limited production run of 1776.This limited edition P226 ships with both a Gadsden bumper sticker and patch.

Sleek and snagless SIG: The middleweight P239 SAS (SIG Anti-Snag) is a super-sleek, dehorned model from the SIG Custom Shop. It is designed specifically for concealed carry.

shoot at least 400 rounds of factory ammo through it. If it functions reliably by then, it’s good to go.
