I’m a big 1911 fan. Have a couple of them and have sent thousands of rounds downrange with them.

But... Last year I got a Sig P220 Elite. Just... wow.

Not only is it just damn comfy to shoot, but it’s got that “short reset trigger” (SRT) that makes follow-ups just... magic. It’s also so darn easy to strip open and clean. I love the hammer-drop, and the double-action first shot. No safety. Love that too.

I still love my Kimber 1911’s, but dang... as a daily carry weapon that Sig has won me over.
