CBS announced today that one of its top shows, "Two and a Half Men," is on hiatus as the series' star, actor Charlie Sheen, entered rehab, one day after he was hospitalized following an allegedly drug-fueled bender with porn stars at his LA home, TMZ reported.
"He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern," the statement added.
"Due to Charlie Sheen’s decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing 'Two and a Half Men' on production hiatus," according to a statement from CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre.

Sheen, 45, "voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center" on Friday, his publicist said in a statement.
"He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern," the statement added.
"Due to Charlie Sheen’s decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing 'Two and a Half Men' on production hiatus," according to a statement from CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre.
"We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision," the statement added.
Sheen, in a text message to Radar Online's senior executive editor Dylan Howard, spoke for the first time since he was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital.
"I'm fine," he said. "People don't seem to get it...Guy can't have a great time and do his job also?"

And why should they expect rehab to take this time?
I can proudly say that I have never watched an entire episode of Two and a Half Men. I have no interest in watching a show whose comedy is based solely on boob jokes, dick jokes and sex jokes.
As for Charlie, I wish him well, but no one can say they didn’t see this coming. Boozing, drugs and whores are all Charlie seems to know. It’s only a matter of time before he’s dead because of them.
So he is preparing to take Frankens senate seat ?....:o)

THAT’s a suggestion I had not considered! And it would surely get Charlie’s attention. Put his house under bank foreclosure thread, and they need a roommate’s income to keep up the payments. Adam Sandler could work.

It’s not going to. He hasn’t admitted to a problem yet. He’s not crying out for help. I am sure there was a nasty intervention in the hospital if his father, mother, and x-wife showed up. They might have bullied him to get in but until he is ready, it won’t take.
As long as he’s helping a lot of people make a lot of money, a lot of people will help him kill himself.
His Costar said on a late night show that he checked with TMZ to see if he needed to report to work the next day.

John Edwards was right, there are two Americas. The Hollywood America where celebrities with a suitcase of cocaine go to a fancy spa to dry out, get written up in People, TMZ, etc. and the America where you and I would be sent up for life. Where is law enforcement?
