Sweet! I remember when Batman was my favorite show. When my father was on his way home from Vietnam I couldn’t wait for him to get there so he could watch Batman with me.

Could you imagine all the heads you would turn driving around in one of those things? lol.

$150K is a lot but not THAT much. People who can afford Porches and Mercedes SLs can afford that...

I believe the original was based upon a '56 Lincoln Premiere convertible. You can still see hints of it in the headlight area, not much else.
To: omega4179
Why not? They’ve sold 14 at $150k each. Better than my local Dodge dealer’s sales.
To: RegulatorCountry
I read the basis was a 1956 Lincoln Futura concept car.
To: buccaneer81
Well, 56 and Lincoln. Could be that the starting point for both the concept car and the Batmobile was the Premier convertible of the same year. I sort of doubt they butchered a concept car for it.
To: RegulatorCountry
No, I’m sure they simply copied it. Butchering that Futura would have been a crime, it’s pretty cool.
To: DemforBush
I would give up a testicle for one of those. Really. Maybe two. I don’t plan on having any more kids anyway...

It was the Futura. You are correct.

Atomic batteries to power! Turbines to speed! Ready to move out, Batman!
To: DemforBush
Hell yeah, I want one too! I’d love to drive around town in the Batmobile!
