Ping. JFK, La Guardia and Newark airports closed now.
And last week the Giants were stuck here in Kansas City because of the Minneapolis dome collapse! Nothing like midwest weather and hospitality! ;)
Be careful what you wish for, it just might come true. Too bad Al didn’t remember that phrase when he made his wishes regarding climate, because they are coming true, in a big way.
“Liberals will still be screaming about global warming when the ice sheets roll over NYC.”
This current situation makes me want to watch “The Day After Tommorrow”.
Well the map doesn’t tell you about Pa. Spoke to a friend of mine in Allentown a few hours ago, snow falling heavily. 0 Degrees.
Not to worry, ...TSA employees will continue to get paid.
Must be a God Thing, hitting the East Coast with such nice weather for polar bears and penguins, shutting down NY and other sin cities on the East Coast. I love up here in the UP of Michigan we get lots of snow, yet we are never shut down. Maybe God is telling the people on the East Coast wake up and think before you vote for the morons that you want representing you at the state and federal levels. More snow falls in my neighborhood than New York gets in a blizzard - 24 - 36 inch snow falls at it is considered Lake Superior Lake Effect Snow.
JFK hardly ever closes. They usually keep at least 1 runway open. This is a nasty storm.
When’s the last time JFK, LGA, & ERW were all closed.. 911 ?
LOL. I just finished watching “2012”. “The day after tomorrow” sounds perfect right now. It may inspire me to go out and shovel some of that warm white fluffy rain.
>>> It may inspire me to go out and shovel some of that warm white fluffy rain.
I call it time-release rain, not snow.
Silly.
Kate Middleton is Asian? And she’s engaged to Al Gore? LOL!
Joe Petroni (George Kennedy) was my first movie hero. I was probably 7 or 8 when I first saw that movie, and just thought he was the coolest guy ever.
FANTASTIC!
Is it not sweet that those areas having the highest concentration of global warming wackos are now getting pummeled with a blizzard?! It would just warm my heart if they have the longest and most bitterly cold winter in their history.
What is John McClane up to?
Anyway, there is certainly a lot of hype about this storm. Sure, it's a nasty one but it's wintertime and we need to expect these kind of things. Just let the plows do their job and things will be back to normal in the morning.
Speaking of PA, there are a lot of embarrassed Philadelphia Eagle fans being that the game was canceled on account of snow. It's a shame, as the best NFL games are snow games.
The sad part is that they will be the first ones to file complaints that the streets weren’t cleared up fast enough. They’ll be stuck at home filing complaints against the landlords, or they will go out, slip on the sidewalk and sue the landlord.
In the UK, The Sun, which is a tabloid had an article from around 2001 where it wrote that kids in England won’t be seeing snow anymore.
