Should I tell you?
If not: Why not?
Regards,
What would you do if you found out they had charged you twice for it?
The same resulting action should apply if you found out they did not charge you at all.
You wouldnt be asking this if you didnt already know the answer.
Sue them for emotional distress related to having a bad conscience.
Just wow - this should be automatic. Sad.
Chris you shoplifter!
Get back there and do the right thing. (probably an ignorant atheist)
I wouldn’t because half the time I go to like Walmart they bag my purchases but fail to give me all my bags, yes and from what I hear they have it happening VERY often, and they just restock the items if the buyer doesn’t come back asking why they were a bag short.
If I was REALLY paranoid I would be thinking along the lines that the employees of these big box stores are encouraged to be less observant of if all the bags are given to the buyers.
It happens to me at least one out of ten times.
I always watch for errors on ‘either’ side. Just the right thing to do.
If you didn’t pay, it isn’t yours.
Go back and either return it or pay for it.
Was the cashier nice? I would only mention it if I liked the cashier. Some of those cashiers need to be fired.

Go back and pay it. GOD is watching you. While your at it give to those that can’t afford any of it.
In regards to my comment, yes I would be guilty but for some reason when it happens from a big box store I could care less, but at a smaller mom and pop store, NO WAY!
I have been given excess change many times, never kept it, especially from my bank, in a small town its better to have respect for those that may lose their jobs because of something like this.
maybe there was a sale you were not aware of like buy one get one free.
Of course. But only when you were passing anyway. You shouldn’t have to go out of your way because of their mistake.
If you’re keeping the DVD pay for it, otherwise you’re a thief...(not you FRiend, the author)
No need to get the cashier in trouble. Just take a $20 bill, put it in an envelope, and mail it to Target. You can get their address off their web-page.
If you need a gift receipt, go buy the DVD again, and mail the one you got free back to Target. Problem solved.
Jeez, I was just in the store the other day
Had a large sack of ice in the cart.
When the cashier was done ringing up, I said “did you get the ice”?
She had missed it and rang it up, then she wished me a heartfelt “Merry Christmas”!
Was I wrong?
Thanks for posting this to News/Activism. I might otherwise have missed it.
