MRS TWICE: “Do you know what it’s like to be married to a wonderful man for fourteen years?”
DREBIN: “No, I can’t say that I do. I did live with a guy once, though, but that was just for a couple of years. Usual slurs, rumors, innuendoes, people didn’t understand. Ran him out of town like a common pygmy.”

Don’t have any funny quotes but I do recall reading
a TV Guide article about Leslie in the 1960’s. He
had played bad guys in a variety of TV shows, often
Quinn Martin produced programs such as FBI. The
article mentioned that he would love to do comedy
which seemed rather odd at the time because of the
bad guy persona he had developed. He got his wish
and to those who weren’t around in the ‘60s it may
seem odd to learn that he ever played anything
other than comedic roles. He was a great talent.

Don Adams was a Marine on Guadalcanal, believe it or not. He was eventually evac’ed with Blackwater Fever. He almost didn’t make it.

Lt. Frank Drebin (Nielsen): A good cop - needlessly cut down by some cowardly hoodlums. Ed: That's no way for a man to die. Drebin: No ... You're right, Ed. A parachute not opening ... That's a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine ... Having your nuts bit off by a Laplander, that's the way I wanna go! Don't you have some Laplander (Sami) blood in you?

Thanks for your post, how lucky we all are that he got his wish to do comedy!
I think Leslie Nielsen would be very happy to see how much pure delight he brought to so many people. RIP.

Naked Gun and really Great Leslie bump. He and Peter Graves are laughing it up now, probably about how Peter beat him again, and it's about time he got there.
