Why the war against “holy-days” (Holiday)? That term is just as religious. I think there is a lot of over-reacting going on. Yea, there are some actual attacks on Christmas, but those who find every single instance of the term “holiday” as an attack are a little overly obsessed.

There’s no point talking to the employees. Take that time & write a letter. They get enough, they change.

In our old, pretty well blackened city....Kwanzai is celebrated as if it’s right from ancient Africa...

I look for wrapping paper, labels, cards and songs that don’t rely on Santa/Snowmen/Elves. Nothing is being given to kids.

I sometimes can still find paper with choral lyrics or Christmas slogans on them.

Go to Target, they have an entire Chanukah section.

Also, as you probably know this year Chanukah ends next week. Therefor after Wednesday - only Christmas remains as a holiday.

Kwanza is bogus

FWIW, I bought Chanuka paper today at Target. It was next to Christmas Wrap.

It was labeled “Chanuka Paper,” if the blue Stars of David didn’t give it away.

I’m 52 years old. Been around, ya know.

But I’ve never heard of, or seen, Chanukah wrapping paper.

Is Chanukah a big gift giving time? Just wondering?

Our local Fox station referred to the Christmas Tree bomber originally as the Holiday Tree bomber before they caught on that even the city had given up on the term Holiday Tree a couple of years ago. And I have seen a couple of vertical rows of Chanukah stuff at our local Fred Meyer super store(proudly run into the ground by Kroger's marketing approach).

As I perused the many bins, I found that every single roll of wrapping paper had Christmas themes or colors.

Good. Christmas in coming up, you know.

Wasn't it to not exclude the other religions who might possibly be celebrating Chanukah, Eid, Kwanzaa, or the Winter Solstice, all of which are equally important in the politically correct society?

Go start your own country, celebrate pickled crab shells.

Sure do and unless I'm wrong most posters I think missed your point (lol)

You've go Santa saying happy holidays and holiday trees for sale - just silliness. The holiday is Christmans. It's packaged and sold as Christmas but we are supposed to be somehow sensitive and refrain from actaully saying it...sheesh.

I was pleasantly surprised when entering our local supermarket the sign on the door said MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Ask them for “holiday wrap” with balloons and giraffes on it and watch their head explode.

“Seen any anti-Christmas idiocy out there?”

Work parties. Throughout various employment venues over the years I've seen the Christmas party become the Holiday party. Not that the Christmas party was ever particularly Christian, the Holiday party became the replacement PC term that was intended to not offend anyone. Which is not realistically possible.

This year, however, it's being called a “Winter Celebration.”

Sorry, I do not celebrate winter. Don't welcome it, don't like the cold, the dark, the often treacherous roads, the snow, sleet, ice, etc.

Anyway, I think this qualifies as anti-Christmas idiocy...

Not having signs that say Christmas is "anti-Christmas idiocy" only if the purpose of Christmas is a commercial endeavor.

So, is your complaint that Christmas isn't somehow commercialized enough and you need yet more signage and blinking lights to remind you of Christ's birth?

I absolutely refuse to demand that the marketplace cater to me religiously since the marketplace is not where my faith rests.

I have unshakable faith in God and Jesus Christ.

I do not have unshakable faith in Target or Cost Plus. I do not need Cost Plus to tell me what season it is or how to celebrate the birth of our Lord. I need Cost Plus to have a decent price on marzipan and Speculaas.

Celebrating Christ's birth should not be affected in the least by whether or not Walmart/Kmart/Sears/Costco/Krogers/Sam's/Penney's/Target /Walgreens/etc. choose to call December 25th "Christmas" or not.

Our society has a very serious problem when we begin looking to the marketplace to stroke our egos and justify our faith through signs and commercials.

The only sign we need is in the Bible.

Try to find anything Christmas is Dearborn, MI. When we lived there, we had to go all the way to Taylor or Canton to find Christmas anything.

I see the same idiocy every year. People that complain about not seeing/hearing Merry Christmas during Advent that then spend the Christmas Season wishing everyone Happy New Year.

Chanukah is acceptable— Eid is a holiday for a demonic cult. and Kwanzaa is a FRAUD. But I am bone freaking weary of the unbelievers messing with Christmas. The “Sacred Writings”as
Old Ben Franklin called them June 28,1787- the Bible gives
ample documentation for a Reasonable man to cipher when the
Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. (Dec.25 is a reasonable date for the conception o four Lord and Savior.
the babe in the manger and three Kings stuff is nice story
stuff And the lighted Christmas tree pretty -and does remind me of the Reformer Martin Luther cause I’ve been in the wood at night a time or twice.
