I’m 52 years old. Been around, ya know.

But I’ve never heard of, or seen, Chanukah wrapping paper.

Is Chanukah a big gift giving time? Just wondering?

Often, especially if there are kids, there will be a gift every night for all 8 nights. Now, these gifts are often a book or other educational things, with one night being for charitable donations, one night for Grandparent gifts, etc. I like to give unusual candies, because the kids love them as much as some expensive piece of junk. But yes, money is traditional for Chanukah gifts, and in America it’s been about presents, due to the proximity to Christmas.

Originally, no. But in the U.S. and Europe in modern times, absolutely yes, to keep Jewish kids from whining that their gentile friends all got tons of toys from Santa Claus.
