Just in time for Christmas
LET US FIGHT IT OUT
Has been released!
Brief Synoposis
The saga shifts west as General James Longstreet assumes command of the Department of Mississippi. His mission: stop the fall of Vicksburg and prevent the Confederacy from being split in two. His opponent is none other than his old friend, Ulysses S. Grant. But when President Lincoln summons Grant east to assume command of the Union war effort, a new and dangerous nemesis arises in his place. Sherman! Now Longstreet must gather all the fighting men he can in order to prevent Sherman from reaching his goal - Atlanta, by summer's end.
Let Us Fight It Out is the second book of a trilogy that provides the exciting answer to the Civil War's most enduring question: What if Stonewall Jackson had survived Chancellorsville?
Just had to brag!

NS comes to a Civil War thread with the express purpose of starting the same old tired fight... I just didn’t want it to happen to this thread. If that is wrong...then I’m wrong. But thanks again for pointing out my shortcomings. :>)

What if Stonewall Jackson had survived Chancellorsville and the Confederate Cavalry been mounted on Velociraptors instead of horses?
Not only would I read that novel, but I’d stand in line to be first to see the movie!!!!
To: Little Pharma
Then you need to write it.

Love the mismatched socks.

And you preemptively went after Non-Sequitur for something that he didn’t do, and ignored the crapweasels like mstar, molitojo, and pokie for what they did do.
Do you apply this same sense of balance to your yarns?

I have no idea what your position is on being a southerner...a white one to be specific since let's face it that's where their resentment is directed...the descendants of slave owners ...but if you are at odds with NS and his little politburo of “what culture war?” types then I love you anyhow
I'm glad we have so many women on our side...they have none in their’s
that pretty much says it all

Rockrr, while I appreciate your coming to my defense this is not the place to do that. In case you haven’t noticed from the earlier posts, the only purpose of this thread is to congratulate carton253 on her book being published. That was clearly stated in her reply 28. Please stick to topic.
To: carton253
Apologies for interrupting but we just can’t have Yankees hijacking your thread and changing the subject away from your book now can we? Hope you sell a million copies. Watch out, Sarah Palin!

I stand with Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, Jeb Stuart, Braxton Bragg, Patrick Cleburne, Nathan Bedford Forrest, A.P. Hill, James Longstreet, and the other gallant men who fought for Independence against the tyranny of the North.
I honor the soldiers of the Army of Northern Virginia, the Army of Tennessee, the Army of Mississippi, and the Army of Trans-Mississippi.
I have spoken at memorial services for the honored dead of the South.
I count it an honor to have spoken to Sons of the Confederate Veterans across this country.
I stand for Dixie!

I agree with what you say in that post. However, I am for freedom above all else, I am for freedom of Speech. I am a Southerner in Louisiana.
I think that if Stonewall was not accidentally killed by friendly fire that the South would have won the Civil war.
Stonewall defeated several union armies each much larger in span of weeks.
Military historians consider Jackson to be one of the most gifted tactical commanders in United States history. His Valley Campaign and his envelopment of the Union Army right wing at Chancellorsville are studied worldwide even today as examples of innovative and bold leadership. He excelled as well in other battles: the First Battle of Bull Run (where he received his famous nickname “Stonewall”), Second Bull Run, Antietam, and Fredericksburg.
