Question: I am reading too much into some of the things Rush has recently been saying?

Posted on 11/26/2010 12:12:17 PM PST by starczar66

Has Rush Limbaugh ever before specificed the manner in which he would let us know when it is "time to panic"? Apparently, he did so last week:

Nov. 15- RUSH: "I will tell you when it's time to panic. If you tune in and I'm not here for ten straight working days, then you can panic. And if you haven't heard anything about it, then it's time to panic, otherwise don't."

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_111510/content/01125111.guest.html

Also, Rush made this odd statement on Tuesday:

"The [fake Taliban] imposter got into the equivalent of the White House in Afghanistan! Did they not ask this guy for some kind of identification? They clearly didn't, they clearly didn't ask this guy for his birth certificate. How in the world could they trust a leader and even give money to somebody who has not been properly vetted? Oh, well, because it happened here in the United States. We have an imposter, for all intents and purposes, serving in the White House."

I find this stuff is a bit unsettling, but I could be getting the wrong impression...I am reading too much into it?

When we get the signal we will enter the arena and win the game.

Oh, I do hope you are right. I have flutters in my belly just thinking about the opposition.

Now, now, we don’t want to lose any yardage or rack up any fines, so ya gotta stick with God’s playbook.

Rush was talking to some lady, and I think it was in the context that he owns EIB and the only person that can fire him is El Rushbo himself....
Also, I think the woman asked Rush ( if I am correct ) were was he for a few days and was worried about him.
Rush said that he will tell the people if he has to be out, and if it's more than 10 days without him telling the people so, then, it's time to panic.
I don't think it's in any kind of connection to him birth certificate/imposter comment..

If you’re not stocking up on food, ammo and setting up safe houses it’s too late to worry.

Maybe you’re typical, maybe you’re an exception. Hard even to guess without seeing the latest ratings. Anybody know where to find them?

Try www.talkers.com. Look at the Heavy 100. That's a start.

The most telling things is that right now, Rush cancels stations. When stations start cancelling Rush's show, then he may have problems. Probably won't happen in his lifetime.

Obama requires 50 pages of argument in WKA to show he is a citizen. This is if he was born in Hawaii.

Someone who needs 50 pages to show he is a citizen....cannot possibly be a natural born citizen.

Rush's "I'll tell you when to panic" admonishment has been part of his routine for years.

As to his other quote equating the Taliban impostor to Obama's citizenship question is a relatively new tactic. He calls it his "media tweak of the day."

He purposely says these things to get the media's collective knickers in a twist and simulaneously getting them to further the narrative beyond his normal reach.

on the eleventh straight working day that he is AWOL, THEN panic.

If on the 12th day his sit-in host is Shep Smith, then panic.

I have listened to Rush since early 1988, just a few months after he went national, and I have learned so much from him. But my listening now is very spotty, because of the extra commercials buried inside his commentary. Until about a year ago the commercials were completely separate, but now, while commenting on the news, he will suddenly break into a story about someone whose purse was stolen, and before you know it, you are listening to a Life Lock commercial, or something else. I turn it off immediately. I don’t know if I am alone, but I bet others hate this scheme as much as I do.

There are people who think that Rush doesn’t have the right to take a few days off now and then to do something he enjoys. They get upset and panicky when he does.

Wong Kim Ark was a Supreme court case that stated that anyone born on U.S. soil to parents that had allegiance to the U.S. was a U.S. citizen. Contrary to what most people think , Ark’s parents had legally immigrated to the U.S. and established a home and business. Immigration (legal) is considered partial allegiance. It was made quite clear that Art was a citizen but was NOT a natural born citizen as that requires both parents to be U.S. citizens at birth of child. This and a number of other cases helped defined that there is a difference between Natural Born citizen and Citizen. This is the Reason obama is not the legal President of the U.S. as he is not a Natural Born citizen.

No, they are not sneaking in more commercials. He does thr same number of commercials for his sponsor(s) as before, but now he says them naturally instead of switching over to another actor's voice, OR to announce that commercials are coming and then play a commercial recorded in his voice.

I like his voice and tone of voice so I'd prefer hearing the commercials live and in his voice than canned or by actors. It's not a scheme. (Though he probably gets paid more for live ads, because his word, in his mouth, sells products better.)

I have listened to Rush since he was in Sacramento, long before he ever went national. He is still the most consistently conservative voice America has had in a very long time.

Now I do understand your frustration with him because my brother-in-law, whom I work with, feels as you do. However, I have no problem with his making money anyway he can as long as I know he is still the most powerful and influential voice we have on the right.

I am not accusing you of being a leftist, but it is a fact that I have seen and heard many on the left complain about Rush being all about making money and the fact that he has added commercials proves it. This has been an accusation towards him for a very long time. I personally have never noticed any added commercials. Then I read an article by Mark Levine once where, among other things, he proved that Rush had not added any commercials.

Mark showed how the left began using this as an accusation against Rush to undermine his credibility amongst his loyal listeners. Unfortunately many on the right still believe the lie to this day, but it is very easily proved to be wrong. You repeat a lie enough and before long even those on the right begin believing it to be true.

Personally, I laugh when he starts going into a story about a government computer being stolen, or someone’s ID being stolen because I know that he will work in his Life-Lock commercial. He is the best at doing such a thing.

Years ago when he was a disc jockey going by the name of Jeff Christie, Rush was the absolute best at talking all the way up to the very instant the words of the song began. Even the leftist disc jockeys admit that NO ONE does it better than he does. And they readily admit they are leftists, but they must agree he is the best radio voice in the history of radio.

So instead of getting angry, I think about the way those on the left wish they could do things the way he does. He is the example of how to do what he does, and his manipulation of time to meld his commercials in is just another example of how good he really is. It’s like being a apart of history that will never be repeated again. So I never complain nor leave his show for reason like that. It is Rush and it really pisses off the left that he gets away with it when most others would not be able to.

Rush Limbaugh is a professional blowhard. Before anything else, he plays to his audience and says whatever sells.

Unless you're reading Limbaugh-bound dollar signs into his words, you're reading too much into what he says.
