Who would have a better chance at winning the White House ...
(Excerpt) Read more at gretawire.blogs.foxnews.com ...
Don’t worry when dynachrome get’s the ping it will be all ok..
Better to win with the most conservative of all the Bushes backed by a momma grizley than to win with RINO Romney and stealth liberal Hillbilly Huckabee. Or lose to Zero again.
Buckley’s rule: Support the most ELECTABLE conservative.
The Republican candidate will be from among those with name familiarity: Romney, Huckabee, Palin, Guiliani. I fear, probably Romney/Huckabee. Jindal, Cristie, Sanford, Pawlenty, Demint and others will not be the nominee in 2012, too new, too unfamiliar.
The only person who has the gravitas, name familiarity and also pretty good conservative bona fides is Jeb. He only has to separate himself politically from his brother which I think time and distance have done. Also the current rapid rehabilitation of “W” will help, too. I think that is an easier task than to get the much needed Evangelicals to support Romney, the much need conservatives to support Huckabee, the press to give Sarah a fair shake so as not to drive away the independent vote for her.
I think Jeb/Sarah wins in a landslide.
Any other ticket, If they win, will squeek in.
Sorry to disappoint you, but Jeb ain’t even going to attempt it.
No more Bushes! W. has ruined the family name, and only the Tea Party insurgence has freed the Republican party from that stench. (sorry, he was just too unpopular) It was just two years ago the Republicans were written off as a dying party...
that is the legacy of W. (history will be kinder, but not yet)
I agree, Jeb is the most conservative in the family, but it just ain’t in the cards.
Hmmm.....they’re both way behind that Romney fella JimRob is so fonda....
Some words from Mike Spence speaking at Hillsdale College recently:
Whereas the president must be cautious, dutiful, and deferential at home, his character must change abroad. Were he to ask for a primer on how to act in relation to other states, which no holder of the office has needed to this point, and were that primer to be written by the American people, whether of 1776 or 2010, you can be confident that it would contain the following instructions:
You do not bow to kings. Outside our shores, the President of the United States of America bows to no man. When in foreign lands, you do not criticize your own country. You do not argue the case against the United States, but the case for it. You do not apologize to the enemies of the United States. Should you be confused, a country, people, or region that harbors, shelters, supports, encourages, or cheers attacks upon our country or the slaughter of our friends and families are enemies of the United States. And, to repeat, you do not apologize to them.
Depends on what poll you’re reading.
Some have a definite ‘beltway” slant.
But I agree, Romney is the insiders, elitist pick. He is who all the “experts” and republican establishment types want...so he polls well.
They are using the polling data to drive support, but, sadly, Romney will not get the job done.
This time we the people want to pick our candidate. We’ve had it with the Nixon,Ford,Bush,Dole,Bush,McCain,Romney insiders picks.
This is a year for a real conservative.
Not big on Palin but Huckabee is certainly on my “Do not want” list.
Sorry to disappoint YOU.
I don't care who the Republican candidate is. I just want the most conservative and electable to run and win. If that's Jeb, Sarah or whomever I just don't care.
The alternative of a Zero redux , Clinton surprise or rule by RINO is just too, too nauseating.
"Who would have a better chance at winning the White House against President Obama of the two below?"
ROFL. People really think that he will be running? maybe running away, but not running. I just don't see him finishing his term.
Anyway:
Gov Huckabee 41.73% (623 votes)
Gov Palin 58.27% (870 votes)
As if Palin didn't?
Don't flame me, I don't want either one of them.
SOME Christians maintain that it is biblically wrong for a woman to be in a position of authority over a man, therefore a woman may not hold public office. The members of one local church here do not allow women teachers for boys past the biblical(traditional Jewish?) age of 13!
Pence/Palin in 2012
I was largely poking at the annoying anti-Romney rants at the open of every thread.
As though opposing views are unwelcome at FR....
Gov Huckabee Huckster, RINO Extraordinaire
43.14% (833 votes)
Gov Palin
56.86% (1,098 votes)
So ... that would mean that Sarah Palin gets Duncan Hunter's complete and absolute endorsement too?!

Duncan Hunter, Sr. - Endorses Huckleberry (aka Stalking Horse)
Probably not. Huck at least saw the light on amnesty
This boob hasn't seen any such light on illegals. He is a nanny-stater, including illegals, through and through.
Even lady lindsey is to the right of Huck on birthright citizenship!
Yet Sarah is far worse. That’s how bad it is.
I'm still the pragmatist who would have preferred Fred to McQueeg in '08, and similarly prefers Sarah Palin to anyone who ran in '08. Until someone better throws their hat into the ring ....
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
